Did you really make a deal? Because you can make any offer regardless of your cap situation. It isn't rejected until that offer is "picked" by the player.

Plus he was offer no more years to entice me to sign another contract.

Like I said earlier if he stays healthy he will get another contract. I think his current one is close to Franchise Tag range now that he has been CAPed Out.

Although what you mentioned would be clever.... although not in the spirit of MP play.




EDIT - I now see how my butchered usage of the language would lead you to your conclusion. by saying "throw out his current contract" I meant if I had never CAPed him Out and he was still eligable to negotiate with. Sorry. I am definatly NOT an english major, but at least I can use paragraphs even if I do it wrong. lol
