this doesn't make any sense. nevermind. i guess he's still a FA or else you woulda had a parade to announce he signed with someone else, you predictable snit.

i did extensive research last nite, and in doing that research i discovered that despite being nearly 20 ratings points BELOW Colella, Sammy Matthews has significantly superior career numbers. career avg for accuracy and QB rating, primarily, is not even close. with that info in mind, i was very fortunate to be able to be released from the contract. jeff may say i'm trying to spin thing, but clearly this is a case where ratings haven't really translated to on-field performance. and really, without tooting my own horn, before the Heroes Colella wasn't really anything in this league. it's only now that he's on my team has he been transformed into a solid QB who'll post low 80-ish QB rating and pass for 25 tds.

so not only should Colella not be in the same sentence as Caro, he's done nothing to be compared to Sammy - and hasn't shown he deserves to be paid more than the bargain Sammy Matthews is being paid.

Sammy is on the edge of a holdout based on what he is asking for now. . .
