Speaking of holdouts, I am worried about a possible problem from Brian Dixon. I just remember his situation and am thinking I may back off a couple FA signings now just incase.

Dixon re-signed a year or two ago for a fairly cheap deal IMO. I remember being very surprised and I commented on the board how he was a team player. He has four years left on his deal right now, all years right around 3.5 against the cap, around 2.5 is the base salary. If I go in the rework his deal now, he wants big bucks after leading the league in rushing two years in a row. He feels he is worth 8 million a year now.

ROFL, WOW! He turned down a 28 million dollar contract which included a 9 million dollar bonus to take that 2 year deal. Uhhh, all I can say is, I don't want players like that on my team anyway. He is the kind of player who will ask 10 million a year to resign. He thinks he is Kao it seems.

I don't mind paying for players. Hell, ya all know I will even overpay if they are studs(see Hamilton, Bice and Martinez), but he isn't even the best player at his position. Another reason I have avoided free agency. It's a mystery that I have yet to solve.

he was only rated 60, not worth a mega contract. just cuz he was one of the few decent guys in the FA pool doesn't mean i'm gonna overpay for him.
