    MAY 24TH: Marlins (24-23) At Phillies (20-27)
Huge win as they came from 3-1 down to tie it but we won it in 10 innings. Saunders and Ashby had a good duel and our bullpen was rock solid again as Goose got another save.
Final Score: Marlins 4 Phillies 3 (10 Innings)

    MAY 25TH: Marlins (25-23) At Phillies (20-28)
Real tough loss as Heaton was mowing em down till he ran out of gas in the 7th and Heredia couldn't hold down the fort as they tied it at 2. Mariano Duncan then led off the bottom of the 8th with a HR and although we loaded the bases with 2 out in the 9th off of Mitch Williams we couldn't plate the tyeing run and we fell just short.
Final Score: Phillies 3 Marlins 2

    MAY 26TH: Marlins (25-24) At Phillies (21-28)
Just a total drubbing as we bombarded them at the plate and on the basepaths. Carreon, Shumpert & Lemke each hit homers and Willie McGee stole 4 bases as we rolled to an easy win.
Final Score: Marlins 11 Phillies 3

      MAY 27TH: Marlins (26-24) Vs Cubs (21-28)
The lord giveth and he taketh away as Wegman got shelled and spotted them 7 runs early. We fought back but in the end it was too much to overcome.
Final Score: Cubs 7 Marlins 5

      MAY 28TH: Marlins (26-25) Vs Cubs (22-28)
Nice bounce back win as Bryn Smith threw a complete game and we shut down the Cubs offense in a low scoring affair.
Final Score: Marlins 3 Cubs 1

      MAY 29TH: Marlins (27-25) Vs Cubs (22-29)
Man, just a tough game to lose as we fall a run short in a low scoring affair and finaly lose a series after a real nice run. Welp, time to get back on another run.
Final Score: Cubs 3 Marlins 2

      MAY 30TH: OFF DAY

      MAY 31ST: Marlins (27-26) At Expos (29-24)
Heaton got knocked around early and as hard as we fought to come back we just didn't have enough offense. We've lost 3 out of 4 now and are back to .500. Time to turn things around.
Final Score: Expos 8 Marlins 5
      I luv British womenz.

        JUNE 1ST: AMATEUR DRAFT

Round #2: SP Rodrigo Lopez, 17 Years Old, 54/90
Round #3: SP Adrian Hernandez,	18 Years Old,	48/91
Round #4: RP Jason Childers,	18 Years Old,	49/87
        Round #5: 3B Mike Lamb, 17 Years Old,	50/76
Round #6: SP Ryan Bradley,	17 Years Old,	50/81
Not alot of pickings, we picked near the end of every round, we got some good prospects but they're all a way off. In my fantasy world i've obviously got some good will from the locals by picking 2 touted hispanics so that should help my fanbase rating.....right Mogul? RIGHT?

Would be awesome if mogul would output the drafts in a text file of some sort. Grrr. But as you can see, ARod is a Dodger and so on and so on.
        I luv British womenz.

          JUNE 1ST: Marlins (27-27) At Expos (30-24)
Bleh. We jumped out to a 3-0 lead but Tanana couldn't hold it. We fought tooth and nail, had many chances to tie or go ahead but couldn't get the big hit with RISP and came up a run short. Tough loss.
Final Score: Expos 8 Marlins 7

          JUNE 2ND: Marlins (27-28) At Expos (31-24)
Welp, Brian friggin Barnes shut us out today. Wegman pitched fine enough but our bats were silent and that's that. Swept in Montreal.
Final Score: Expos 3 Marlins 0

            JUNE 4TH: Marlins (27-29) Vs Phillies (24-32)
What a giant win for us. A 2 run HR from Gaetti gave us a lead and Smith and our bullpen pitched really well culminating in Gossage striking out Wes Chamberlain in the top of the 9th with the bases loaded. Phew. Biggun.
Final Score: Marlins 4 Phillies 3

            JUNE 5TH: Marlins (28-29) Vs Phillies (24-33)
Another nice win as they got ahead early but we got to Danny Jackson for 5 runs in the 5th and Saunders and the bullpen all pitched well in victory.
Final Score: Marlins 6 Phillies 3

            JUNE 6TH: Marlins (29-29) Vs Phillies (24-34)
A back and forth battle that we come out on top of thanks to a couple of late runs and more great bullpen. Cook got the save in the 9th shutting down Dykstra, Rolen & Kruk. Big sweep, back over .500 and ready to head into New York to take on the Mets!!
Final Score: Marlins 5 Phillies 4

            JUNE 7TH: Marlins (30-29) At Mets (41-18)
What a stupendous effin victory. Tanana outduels Mullholand, who has been one of the NL's premiere pitchers. We string together 5 straight 2 out hits in the 6th to go up and despite being shakey, Gossage notches another save. Ya know what? I wanna sweet these fug heads.
Final Score: Marlins 4 Mets 2

            JUNE 8TH: Marlins (31-29) At Mets (41-19)
A tough loss as Wegman matched Sid Fernandez thru 6 innings but an error by Gaetti extended and inning and allowed Eddie Murray to blast a 3 run homer which ended up being the deciding factor in a tough loss.
Final Score: Mets 4 Marlins 1

            JUNE 9TH: Marlins (31-30) At Mets (42-19)
Man oh man what a tough pill to swallow. Smith pitched really well till the 6th and they were able to get 1 up on us and shut us down. I can't be too upset as we played them tooth and nail and i'm really proud of this team especially my pitching staff as we hung with Mullholand, Fernandez and Saberhagen all series long but just came up short.
Final Score: Mets 3 Marlins 2

            JUNE 9TH:INJURY NEWS
Terry Shumpert has a twisted ankle and our trainers think he'll need at least a week off so we're going to DL him and call Dave Berg back up.

            JUNE 9TH: PROMOTION NEWS
LF Maglio Ordonez is tearing up Rookie Ball and we think he's ready for A ball so up we send him.

RF Shawn Green is gonna get the same treatment. Both those guys will join CF Carl Everet in A Ball and the hope is that by 1995 they will all be ready, i'd really like them to all mature together.

            JUNE 10TH: OFF DAY

            JUNE 11TH: Marlins (31-31) At Pirates (26-37)
Well, mama said there'd be days like these. Saunders got LIT UP. I mean, he gave up 10 first inning runs and I finaly had to pull him in the 3rd. His final line was 2.1 IP and 13 Earned Runs, lol. We actualy put up a ton of runs and got within 4 at one point but it was just too much.
Final Score: Pirates 15 Marlins 9

            JUNE 12TH: Marlins (31-32) At Pirates (27-37)
What a fuggin heartbreaker. Heaton gave up 3 in the first and we were looking so blase until we broke out of it in the 8th and LaValliere hit a 3 run homer to put us up 6-4. Then Candelaria fell apart in the bottom of the 8th and gave up a 2 out, 3 run double to Al Martin and they eeked out a 1 run win. A very tough loss.
Final Score: Pirates 7 Marlins 6

            JUNE 13TH: INJURY NEWS
Jim Eisenreich has a pulled calf and will unavailable for the next 3 days.

            JUNE 13TH: Marlins (31-33) At Pirates (28-37)
Ughh, we fall a run short as Wakefield pretty much baffles our offense. Just a real shit series following the high of playing the Mets. Time to go home and try and right this ship before we slip into ugliness.
Final Score: Pirates 4 Marlins 3

Yesir, using Baseball Mogul, latest version and patch as of 2 weeks ago or so.

Alot of people bust on it for it's simplicity and the truth is it hasn't evolved all that much nor is it all that deep when it comes to certain stuff but as far as games you can sit down, throw up some house rules, and play, I find it extremely enjoyable. Hell, it's the only SP text sim I play anymore.

As you can see, Gaetti has rebounded very well from his early season slump and McGee has played exceptionaly well since being moved down into the 6 spot in the order. Eisenreich and Carreon have been our consistency MVP's as they've been solid all year so far and have been rocks in our lineup.

A whopper of a deal on June 12th saw the Twins send veteran outfielder Kirby Pucket to the Braves for highly touted prospects SP Jason Schmidt and OF Jermaine Dye. The Twins clearly are trying to reload while the Braves believe they have a shot at the division title. What a blockbuster.

23 Games till the All-Star break at which point i'll be going over my finances, looking at our expiring contracts (there are many) and arbitration eligable players as we plan ahead to what our team will look like next season and for the future.

Now it's time to finish the first half of the season on a superior note.

Seems strange that an expansion team is so competitive.

I downloaded a BBM demo a few years ago liked the interface, but ended up going with OOTP. Never really got into it. Is the AI as bad as it seems to be in this dynasty?
