Neither can I. I have no clue what to do differently.

I've tried so many different things with the gameplan and nothing seems to work...
Maybe you need to stick with one gameplan for a couple of weeks.
I agree. There are often many times i'll change up a gameplan a lot, but it doesn't work out because something weird happens in game, like my defense blows.

i'll admit i changed up my gameplan a bit. when you start off 0-3 clearly something isn't working. the only thing you can hope for is that if you want to pass a lot - you wind up passing a lot. if you want to play smashmouth and run it up the middle all game - your team winds up doing that. as long as your team follows what you were trying to do, you have to live with it. like if your QB is weak and you don't want him being hte focal point, you don't want your team throwing 40 times a game. if your team does what you want it to then you have to be content with that. the AI Gods will do what they want with your team. you just don't want to lose having your team do something you didn't intend it to. that i can't stand for. between injuries and flip of the coin no team can really go winless. it's very hard to win just 1 game. over the course of a season thigns will right themselves. you won't win any championships this year, but you have to try very hard to suck as bad as much as you think you suck. your team will be all right. just give any gameplan at least 2 games to see if it works. don't be so knee-jerkish.

Just wait until next season and gameplanning with 2k7. It sucks. Or I do.

        Anyway, Groth is back, boys.
My 2 WR free agent signings had over 100 yards receiving against the Toads.

Actually there are some issues with FOF2k7 and gameplanning, I suggest waiting until the next patch.

difficult game for sure. Defensive gameplanning is difficult to say the least.

You are sooooooo right and I actually hope we stay on 2k4. I'm playing in a 2k7 league now and I've yet to figure out how to make my offense do what I WANT IT TO DO. Even when you think you've tweaked the way you want, the damn game seems to ignore that and run what it wants. I may quit the RNFL because of it

i really don't want to upgrade to 2k7. i haven't played solo career FOF in years. i'm tired having to solve the mystery that is FOF gameplanning.

Actually I think the defensive gameplanning in it is great. However, there are some problems with the offensive gameplanning that have recently come to light in IHOF. Supposedly it is being fixed in the next patch, but who knows. The problem is that teams don't do what you want them to do, and there are "super" game plans.

From the looks of it, if you use certain %s in where to run, how far to pass, etc., regardless of talent you'll get better results. In other words, you put together a running team, you throw the ball a certain way, your stats across the board increase.

Now, I think that with the defensive tools you have in FOF2k7 you can ameliorate this, but that is being debated, partially because it is so hard to test.

Your team came in and dominated, that I give you. You had a great game plan and completely stuffed every single facet of my gameplan, both on offense and defense. We had no answers and might has well walked over and handed you our playbook. Thats how dominating it was.
But don't break your arm patting yourself on the back just yet. Hamilton is limping around the field with a possible career ending injury(don't let the "probable" fool you. I have seen multiple quarterbacks end their careers with the strained quadriceps, and myself lost Eli Manning rated 86 for 33 weeks and his rating dropped to 32 the following season.). The leagues best reciever Martinez didn't even start this week allowing you to double Bice, and we then lost Martinez's backup as well(Winfrey) bringing us to one starting wideout.

I am not using injuries as an excuse for the loss, you beat the snot out of me. But before you go blowing yourself over your godlike pass defense......... we will see in week 17.

Regardless, good game bro. You outplanned and outplayed me.......this week.

FWIW the Phantoms continue to do a new gameplan from scratch every week.
