Damn, what a game! Norfolk goes up largely as a result of Grizzly turnovers and offensive ineptitude. But, the Grizzly defense stands tough and forces 4 FGs. Not only that, but Lozier gets crushed on a scramble and is out for 7 weeks! Then, the Grizzly offense started to roll. They surged to an 18 - 15 lead. But, in parallel to last year's first game between these two teams, the backup QB marches his team downfield for the go ahead score.

22 - 18... Jim Hickman then engineers a drive as it appears that the Grizzlies would go ahead. They get inside the Norfolk 20, only to fumble the ball away. The Grizzly defense wasn't done though, as they force a 3 and out. With 1:39 left in the game, Hickman leads his team out onto the field. Starting at his 37, he leads the Griz on a 6 play drive that culminates in a TD pass to Stanley Jamison. Griz go up 25 - 22. Fittingly, the Grizzly defense close out the game with a 4 and out, forcing Norfolk into 3 incomplete passes and one sack. Truly a game worthy of the best the AC East has to offer.

3 Ints in the 1st half so far for taylot. I am beginning to understand why the previous guy ran so much. Taylor LOVES to throw into double coverage.

SLC looks to finally be responding to their new coach---we're a power running team with a damn good defense. Somebody should have told Oakland that we were the #1 pass defense---Hamilton sure looked shocked to find that out 8)

Happy in how we started the game not so happy in how we played toward the end. I went all-out against the pass and neglected the run and it showed. Caro thrives in that situation when the run can setup the pass better luck next time in those regards...

Sorry, Lansing and Pittsburgh, we did everything we could.

Just needed one consistent drive in the 2nd half, and couldn't do it. Wish we would have handed off to Carmack more. He was the MVP on the losing side.

Our pick up of Cotten really helped the defensive front a bit. But we are just out talented right now.

Had Madison sweating a bit tho'

Warhammer ... took some balls to start Hickman. I am impressed.

Losing Finger again, so soon ... hurts .. hurts bad.

It was a good game and could have gone either way ... congrats on the win ... your team was every bit deserving with the gut check at the end. That is the kind of play that championship teams are made of.

20-16 with 7 minutes left in game. Little Rock starting to drive.

I got sick of playing catch up to you guys, I thought I would throw you a curve starting him. Plus, I didn't want to lose again and be two games behind you.

The irony is that you made the comment about Hickman and then wound up losing Lozier. I saw that and thought, r00k is going to be pissed! Still Bishop was pretty impressive leading you guys down the field after we went up, I thought we were cooked. Then we drove downfield, I'm cheering, and then Ferreira fumbles. I sit back, shrug the shoulders and figured that we played well in coming back, but it was too big of a lead to spot the IFL champs. Then the defense stands tall, forces the punt, and then Hickman connects to Hernandez. Pandemonium. Once I saw that I knew we had it.

EDIT: BTW great game as always r00k.

                              Nor/Har was absolutely amazing!!! Wow!

The Beav gets injured for 4 weeks in the Phantoms latest victory. Orlando's DB's, despite Stanfield having a great day due to a couple misleading long balls, were swatting everything!

Gotta try to make it through the next couple of weeks injuries, but Maroney's 100 yards in a mid-game-replacement-starting-role shows the running game shouldn't drop any.

Tulsa wins. Taylor discovers Boyce Groth in the 2nd half.
The game was a tale of 2 halves. 14-3 at half time, Toads. 20-16 Cows at end of game.

The bye week was outstanding to us.
