  • I like the detailed gameplanning, as long as it actually works.. for example the weird problem with running back playing times in the current version. If it works, i'll be happy but this doesn't seem like that big of an upgrade. Like others have said, very underwhelmed as well.

Slightly better kicking stats, but still can't find anything on penalties. I looked through a game log and still doesn't seem to name who got it. That would be extremely helpful on those annoying offensive holding calls I seem to always get.

    • Penalties are probably team-oriented and are not handed out on an individual level. That would make it useless to show who is committing them then. Now you could have a problem with that philosophy of course.

      • It'd be nice to know that my Guard who is 44-61 also gets whistled for 10 fals starts and 10 holdings a year, compared to my 33-33 guy who gets whistled for about 4 false starts and 3 holdings. It'd make things interesting. Maybe in 2008.

I triple-dog dare you to mention this at FOFC. In fact, I quadruple-dog dare you to start a topic just for your complaint. Also, use capital letters and exclamation points in the title.
are you being sarcastic? I don't have a problem doing it, I honestly feel "left out". I'm sure I'm not the only Canadian that owns this game.

          • Im with Matt. How hard would it be to inlcude some major canadian cities? Is it a HUGE thing? No. But is it so hard to implement?

No. It's just that I can spell out how that post would go. For some reason a lot of Americans feel the need to get all defensive when Canadians speak up about something that relates to their country. Some would make jokes, then there are some that would feel the need to let you know that the US is in fact #1 even though it'd have nothing to do with your post really.

              • I just feel it is simply ignorant not to do so. I mean Toronto is the 5th largest market in North America. Why can't I move my team there?

as i said before - gameplanning now with 2k4 is fucking tedious as-is, i wasn't interested in complicating that further. you really think football GMs care whether a run play should be called 42% of the time on 2nd downs with 5-8 yards to go vs. 48% of the time? they don't concern themselves with that. i don't care - i just want to build the damn team.

Yea, that's really what I want. If I have just one guy causing 30-40 yards in penalties a game, he may not be worth keeping even if his ratings are good.

Same with DBs, if a guy can't defend w/o getting pass INT, that's pretty big.

I realize the code probably isn't that in depth though, which is the biggest disappointment.

The data we have now is derived from the FoF Interigator. It is very possible that there may not be an interigator for 2007, but. . .

I want to add playoff data to the DB, so I am going to be creating a log parser to do this. . . The logs in 2007 are not too different from the logs in 2004, so the DB will be ready for the change before we are, unless they deploy me again, and again, and again.

So the DB will live. . .
