...or if you want a really slick looking page, [ifl]Gene Hamilton[/ifl]. I used to think Gene was black, but then I saw that he was from Hope, IN, which has like one black family in it.

Oh! God, I forgot about that. I lost it somehow. I think I have it on my disc here somewhere but keep forgetting to ask Jeff to replace the one in the Gallery. Or you if you can.
Thanks. I had it hot linked to a file on a site I hardly ever use anymore and sometimes it would load and sometimes not. I noticed I had no avatar the other day so I just used the IFL default to remind me to ask about it.
I have been trying to follow along with the talk about the new game for the last few days, here and on FOFC. Although once the game came out Friday nigh I kind of got behind on FOFC because of all the talk.
Anyways, from the talk, I am a bit disappointed. What I wanted most in a new FOF was some stuff to grab me and get me really hooked into solo play again. I hope it is their but I don't know yet because I haven't even grabbed the demo.
For MP, I have seen the two big security measures, which are good. Even though I am not a commish anymore, I still hope there is more Commish features though. A while back VPI was asked by Jim what features he would want to see for commishes, VPI in turn asked me (and I assume other commishes) for their ideas. I gave a list of about 10-15 things. I hope some of those made it, because it would make things better for Jeff and Suicane and any other commish. If was really added for commish mode then that's pretty shitty IMO.
I think I may buy the game this weekend anyways, I'm an FOF sucker like that. I thought I could hold off until December or later, but damn the urge is too strong I think.
As for the league.....I agree with Suicane's and Jeff's position 100%. Back in the day my plan was the league would change over after it's current season whenever the game came out. Since the conversion thing sucks dick IMO though, and because of all the work put into the website lately, I say after this season is way too soon. Also, hopefully by May (I think Jeff said that would be the end of next season) the game will be all patched and we will know what the final product looks like.

As for the TCY part of this league (expect an update in a day or so BTW) I guess it is going o be dying off soon, atleast for the time being. From what Jim said about TCY, I am guessing an update to TCY to allow it to export draft files to FOF 2007 is not coming for a long while, if at all. TO me it sounds like a TCY2 or TCY update next year is the only time we would see this ability .
As for the talk early on about the TCY files and their talent level, I have always known the big complaint to be a lack of those superstud superstar players, ratings wise anyways. But overall the TCY files produce more quality guys then FOF does on it's own. That is why we see starting potential players still around for round 3. I think you can argue for or against TCY files based on that though, each has positives and negatives IMO.
If Jeff and Suicane think we should drop the college section just let me know, I won't be taking no offense since it is doomed anyways....

It'll be interesting to see how leagues who used HeavyReign's fictional league generator convert, specifically IHOF, the CFL, and our league. Jim and many others have observed that the talent generated by the util was too high. I would think that Jim would try and a spread out the talent so it fits within the parameters of the new game.
Anyways, it looks like IHOF is going to be one of the first to convert.
Sorry, clearly one of the things I missed then. ops:
I was assuming it wouldn't because when you export the file from TCY it asks you what version of the game you are exporting it for. I thought that would have to be updated. Good to know it doesn't though, I guess you would just hit the FOF2004 button when doing this then.

In light of some of the comments here, here's a few more of mine:
I won't buy the game just yet.. not because I think it's a bad product, but I play MP exclusively and haven't really _played_ FOF SP one single time.. doesn't mean I haven't tried, but I just can't get into it enough immersion-wise.
Since IFL is also the only MP-league I'm in, I'm in no hurry to buy 2K7 and won't have any problems waiting for the game to be stabilized with a few patches. I have NO doubt WHATSOEVER that the game will be the best Pro Football-sim out there (it already is), because I have complete faith in Jim and his products. However, all games, and 2K7 included, have there problems and will need to mature with a patch or two before being stable enough to use in an already established league in my opinion.
Secondly, I love the TCY-imports.. I don't give a rat's ass about the players being too good.. after a few years the playing-field is even anyways if that's such a big issue. Just like someone else just said, the TCY-stuff adds a whole other dimension to the league and I for one would be extremely disappointed if it stopped... and since there are no technical reasons why it should.. I don't see you getting out of this one Cringer
