I'd say a conversion after 2009 is 99.9 percent likely. That would be around May 2007 FYI.

right off the bat, all of the tedious gameplanning looks intimidating when you get used to the current system.
I'm not sure I'm ready to jump on this ship yet. Though I'm the same guy who played 2k1 until 2k5

I suppose the biggest concern for me is how the 3rd-party utility programming goes. It would suck major ass to lose the ability to keep the DB project going. I have faith though.

Hard to believe that after 2 years the HTML output isn't any better or hasn't changed at all.

Why spend time on that when you can show who has the record for passes dropped in a game

HTML isn't his thing. Graphics/design is not his thing. And he's in IHOF, so he knows it is something that guys can do on their own if they really want to. From what I know he added logs and boxes to the html. That's the minimum he had to add and it doesn't surprise me that he chose that route.

still no Canadian cities. Hell, even in Madden you can move teams north of the border. I know it may mean nothing to Americans, but I see this as a big slap in the face.

                    • Yeah, well his "thing" is getting old. There was a ton of shit wrong with 2004 from an AI standpoint and it got a major free pass because people didnt care or didnt know (myself included), until you really looked deeper at the in game flaws.

Im gonna stop complaining but im completely underwhelmed.

I triple-dog dare you to mention this at FOFC. In fact, I quadruple-dog dare you to start a topic just for your complaint. Also, use capital letters and exclamation points in the title.

Did you ever talk about the late half logic at FOFC or send an e-mail to Solecismic Support about it?

"Guys"? A few guys in the entire FOFC universe can do it. You're a lucky fucker if you have one of those guys willing to help you get it done (as we have with Biggs and Roadrash.

Call me nuts for hoping that after 2 years he would of integrated what those "guys" can do, into the game itself instead of us having to go thru all this to get it done ourselves.

Fuck, I dont even need the game to produce what a database produces, just give us something 2 years better than what the last version produced.

No, but you cant have it both ways. If Jim being in IHOF makes him aware of certain things, it's gotta make him aware of other things as well. You're telling me in his whole time playing the game he never noticed it?

And it doesn't look like it would of mattered much if i had reported it because you can see how people (including him) are reacting to the post Detox made last night, ie: not at all.

                              • I'm not ready to shit on the new game yet, but like Suicane said I do think a lot more could have been done to make the game more friendly for MP leagues. Even just an output like we get from FOFextractor would have been extremely useful. Solevision is cool, but we already had third party viewers that could do that stuff with FOF2k4, so it isn't really an improvement in general.

But I guess MP isn't the major market for his product, so maybe that would have been too much that a third party guy could do instead for free.
