I never really argued they were unrealistic compared to the NFL, however when the top bid is say....16 mil a year, and a team throws out a 26 mil a year offer my OPINION is that is a foolish, irresponsible and possibly damaging offer. If he gets hurt in week on you have mortgaged your entire teams future on ONE guy.

It's crazy sometimes, but the GM can do whatever he wants with his team. I'm putting a price on FAs and if somebody is way over it, I'm not going there. The only danger is if somebody's giving a 7 years contract with 100 millions guaranteed and leaves the league after he has a carreer ending injury. But it rarely happens.

To his credit....I was POSITIVE DG was going to do that but he has stuck with it and in fact, has calmed down. Shit...I might even say he's a good owner in this league!

Ouf, I give more than twice the 2nd best offer to get Guard Quentin Habich. 8 millions for 2 years. It's overpaying, but I didn't want to spent that much on Andy Kelso.

This just enforces that trading, and drafting is king in this league. People crazy overpaying for players to the point it could cripple their salary cap for ONE player. Have fun with that.

Ok...so....Maggard left the building...so much for his loyalty rating. In the end, a $20M cap hit would have created real problems for us, so, I'm not bitter. What I hate about him signing so late tho is that now I can't go after other guys. He wasted my time.
