Seriously Floyd Reese, ex-Titan GM, got man crushes on the guys while they are running around in shorts and Tshirts. He forgets the game is played with pads and helmets - lol

I could make a fairly long list of great "athletes" with "potential" to have sucked up roster spots on the Titans over the last 5-6 years.

Show it in camp and then do it in preseason I say!

I'm more of the regular season/post-season variety but to each his own.

Grim had the best bureau rating as well (for FB's), which isn't useless. Most of these high bureau scores cannot be busts, especially if they had good combines. Too much reliance on what appears to the naked eye (bars bars bars) I fear.

            • talking for a roster spot.

Reese seemed to award rookies roster spots for no apparent reason. OK I am sure there were million$ of reasons, but if they ain't doing it on the field - Schfino, Woolfolk and Troupe spring to mind - then their spot needs to go to someone else.

Oh and I am not arguing about Grim at all. It will be interesting to me to see how Anchorage FS Don Phillips works out. Definatly interested in him, but my scout showed his bars to be almost non existant, but he had a good combine and scout said he was underrated ect.

I'm not disagreeing as I don't know but if this is true then the game would seem to be moving backwards. More towards relying on "the list" than individual scouting of players. True, combine numbers can be considered individual scouting but if the bars are to be overpowered by bureau rating and combine numbers then we, as GMs, don't even have to open a players individual ratings.

                • You should be able to rely on "the list" quite a bit. You don't have to be a scout to make an NFL mock draft.

Grim will probably come out of TC with a +5 or so in future and continue to unmask upwards until he gets to 50/50 or maybe 60/60.

The mass bloodletting that will occur after TC may cause people who haven't played any of this version to go into shock.

You do initially. Most NFL mock drafts just copy the others but someone has to step forward to start and that person needs to look at each college player without the help of any list.

And that's what I'm hoping will happen in FOF 2007. "The list" represents the common media perceptions yet the GMs willing to look through each and every player can find the gems.

                      • Something to keep in mind when drafting combine studs like Grim: if a guy has a zero future in any skill, that will never grow. Zero future = zero forever. So be careful of combine guys with likely zeroes in key skills, because it's gonna stay that way no matter what his measurables look like.

Grim had some space between all his bars and the zero end of the scale, so he's gonna be fine.

                          • I'm pretty sure Alfred Sullivan will have a zero in timing - his PSpec will verify that. What I'm hoping is that timing is still as useless as it was in 2004.

It was my belief after a season with the new version in FOFL, and SkyDog confirmed it as fact.
