  • Passing Timing - ability to connect with receivers who deviate from the planned play.

    From the CSV file.

Yeah, I'm not saying that timing is the first thing I look for in a QB. I certainly wouldn't turn down a QB with poor timing, I'm just saying that it isn't a make or break bar for me. Same with accuracy, sure its nice and all, but when a lot of WRs get 200 YAC at most on a season, I'm not going to break my neck trying to get 10 more points in it.

    • DT McNeil was a nice pick here. He should boom nicely.

When you're done with the goggles can you pass them my way?

            • How often do you see a fifth rounder that will boom nicely? I don't care what the reason is.

Stan Blanchard looks like a good fifth round pick. Not sure if his combine would suggest that his skills will increase significantly, but he did have an above average combine compared to those that are still in the draft. I like his intelligence, agility and strength. His 40 time is decent for a safety, but it isn't great. Rest of his combine was average or below average.

I'd expect to get a 55 rated player and he won't change much. But his initial coverage skills appear solid. Good nickle/dime back.

Blanchard will be a good addition to the Hartford secondary. I'm not looking for an absolute stud back there, but I want someone who is above average. If his bars hold, (one of the reasons I liked him was his low volatility) then we got a bargain in the fifth round and someone who can step in and replace Frausto in a year or two.

One more thing, quit taking my #$&%!*$# kickers!

                            • He has informed us of his desire to have that nickname as a part of his contract negotiations. Odd that he is making demands as a 7th round draft choice.
