          Ugh..

good game Wichita. I just went from cruising to a division title to hoping I make the playoffs with just one game.

Well 3 of my next 4 are on the road, so that makes me feel a bit better. For some reason, I can't play well in Houston.

Also, Beckner is coming back soon, that should also help a bit. Tired of all these injuries.

i was thinking we'd drop this one against WV. i mean, on paper we should have busted their shit up and those are usually the games you wind up losing. and we've won 8 out of our last 9 games. it's been an incredible run and i honestly will remember this season as one of my favorite seasons in my entire MP experience. to have a team start 0-3 and then go on to win 8 of 9 and be in control of our playoff lives - that's a storybook season. this was already a special season for us, having stopped Portland dead in their tracks and mindfucking their undefeated season.

still, i took a look at the Phantoms team and i can see why they're 10-2 and have the top offense in the league. Heroes defense was good enough to stop Portland, but that's only because they didn't have any WR's or any standout RB's, nor did they have any CB's to scare us. the worst guys on the Phatoms defense are solid-calibre guys. i don't see any weak spots. if anything i have to hope their offense brings their B game, cuz i like the matchup between my CB's and their WR's, but i just don't see the Heroes pulling this one out offensively. that means i have to win at least 2 out of my last 4 games, and i just don't like having to play the Lynx. that's a classic playoff spoiler team right there. i think we can handle ABQ, but with us giving the game to the Phantoms next week and me very sketchy on our chances vs the Lynx that leaves our game against the Bulldogs as basically the key to our playoff chances. i have to win that game to basically have a shot at going 2-2 our next four games.

fyi - I'm currently weighing the benefits of home field advantage during the playoffs Vs. a guaranteed healthy Stanfield so you might be facing Rockwell.

Newark need to win 100% of their games and I have to lose 100% of mine to lose my playoff spot. It's not impossible but not near probable IMO.

Rockwell has shown me a lot in his limited action. I was tempted to keep playing him when Stanfield first came back from injury to keep Tobias' starts down in an attempt to bring down his contract demands in the off-season. Four less starts should help there.

A decision hasn't been made yet btw - on QB or other positions (like starting my backup DEs to get rid of their attitude problems).

I agree that Rockwell looked good. I just think that you may be underestimating how important it is to have a bye locked up. Not having to play that first week is huge IMO and I think many would agree with that.
