Dec 11th - P. Luxx (Vancouver GM) lets Suicane know he won't be back. With an opening, I inform Jave that he will be given Portland. I plan to take over Vancouver.
Dec 18th - spunky drops out. I decide I would rather take over Portland

I don't care so much when GM's have a quick trigger.

One side is usually getting ripped off and the other side is getting a steal. I'm only upset when...

a) I'm the guy getting ripped (so I stopped making quick trades)
b) I'm not the guy getting the steal
c) Someone in my division gets a steal

I'm very happy when someone in my division gets robbed in a trade though.

If it's a quick trade that actually works out for both sides, well fuck em both and good luck with your new players. It does suck for those who were not on the forum during the entire time the trade went down, but such is life.

Maybe there should be a 'Trade Needs' section where you post your positional needs and what you're willing to give for them, and let those with the quick trigger fingers come to you. Or you can post it in the trade block section, either works fine.

Like, i'm looking for a guard and a WR. I'm willing to give up draft picks, players and probably even my first born. I may even be willing to give or receive a dirty sanchez depending on how good they are.

I see the point. What about just having a 24 hour window on trades?

I once was the GM of Portland. I traded a shitty RB named Schulz (at least I thought he was, how did he end out his career?) to Jeff's team for the 1.14 pick. I then turned that 1.14 pick into 1.3 and drafted Caro. Then Jeff ends up taking over Portland. Makes you wonder. :P

I think you GOT shultz from Jeff/Columbia.

I was the one who traded you the 1.14 for him (and "change" via draft picks I believe). It wasn't one of my better moves. Shultz' "career" hasn't ended yet but I'm not sure any "career" really started for him either.

The main point is that you should get a much value as you can and get the word out when there's a star player on the block.

For those of you who somehow think your trades don't effect the rest of the league how would you like to go to work one day and come home to find that your division rival just got:

I think you'd smarten up real quick and realize this is a 32 team league and the comings and goings of one team most assuredly effect the others.

I voted for Caro. For three first round picks, sov could have gotten almost any WR, T, S, DE in the league, and none of those picks would be too much of an upgrade this year. I think he wants to secure his QB situation for years to come, have Caro learn on the bench for a few years behind J 'the second coming' C, and then hand him the reins to the offense.

Yeah. I traded Schutz to Portland before Marmel took over Portland. I ripped the dude off too.

I would say that the whole Shutz situation exemplifies how FOF is not football. By his attributes he should've been a great offensive weapon.
