what's your point, Francis? Pirates and i have frequent PM talks throughout the year. i want Connel and one day i'll have him. it's not in my best interests to wait for a guy to be made publically available. even if the other GM won't trade him to me i at least plant the seed, so that when the guy is finally available i've already established a rapport with the other GM.

i don't like gameplanning, that isn't my thing or idea of fun. i'm all about aquiring players and making trades. it's not a good thing for the league now that i can concenrate 100% on being a GM and let the AI handle the X's and O's. i'm always "working the phones". always asking about guys. ask Boston how many times i inquire about Willie Ames.

        i don't stop.

There was no false attempt. I put out the feelers and pulled the trigger fast. If you guys need to make a ruling on how long a trade should be up then so be it. But, to say this brings down our league a tier? C'mon that is a little exagerated. I have no problem with you guys thinking I got too little or for the GM Hat reasons Jeff put up. That is fine. But, accusing me of having questionable etiquette and hurting the league is uncalled for. Has anyone noticed Edwards has only started 25 games over 3 seasons due to major injuries? That is why I got rid of him. Let someone else take the roll of the dice. I have cap room next year to absorb the hit and I get a WR who can play now. I probably could have gotten a first but then what could I have gotten? We will never know. I chose a safe option. Again if we traded too fast then make a ruling. How many offers do I have to field? I am on the West coast you are on the East coast so should trades be allowed to sit for 24 hours? Or, should GM's be allowed to trade whenever they want as long as they are equitable. And this trade does not fall under the non-equitable heading. Caffrey is not an old hag. He is a 6 year vet and Edwards is a 4 year.

Points taken, Kurt. I apologize for being harsh, it's just what I believe. I do think guys should have more patience, but I'm not prepared to make a rule or anything. I just don't think you did "put out the feelers". Less than 4 hours, c'mon!

I think when this happens other GM's get frustrated. The better the player, the more frustrating. I can just about guarantee there won't be another corner of Edwards' caliber available this offseason.

you don't want to hear it cuz you've never had to be a real GM and try to aquire the awesome players on your team. Caro came included. unlike me, where i had to aquire Dennis Colella.

face it, as far as gameplans go you're better, but as far as aquiring players to make a team competitive i'm better. it's ok. we all have our strengths.

and Pirates is right - Edwards hasn't started many games. i saw that after i confirmed the trade. i'll take it though. i'm pretty lucky.

why do you think i'm always on this site at nite? i always look to see who's online, then i open up the game and i see what players they have that i would want. i make a lot of offers throughout the week.

and i would have wound up with Edwards no matter how long he was on the block. as soon as i see a guy i want and i know he's available he's mine. my willingness to go the extra mile is what separates me from other GMs. look at my draft picks the next 3 years. i'm decimated. that's cuz i'm willing to throw in the extra draft pick if that's what it'll take to get the deal done.

Cool by me. I have no problem with your opinions whatsoever. If you hate the trade that is fine, I just didnt like the part of hurting the league. In the future I will wait. Edwards is an injury prone hag. Sorry, HA, but just wait and see.

You know everything is not an anecdote. You have to discriminate. You choose things that are funny or mildly amusing or interesting. You're a miracle! Your stories have NONE of that. They're not even amusing ACCIDENTALLY! "Honey, I'd like you to meet Hell Atlantic, he's got some amusing anecodotes for you. Oh and here's a gun so you can blow your brains out. You'll thank me for it." I could tolerate any insurance seminar. For days I could sit there and listen to them go on and on with a big smile on my face. They'd say, "How can you stand it?" I'd say, "'Cause I've been with Hell Atlantic. I can take ANYTHING." You know what they'd say? They'd say, "I know what you mean. The California GM. Woah." It's like going on a date with a Chatty Cathy doll. I expect you have a little string on your chest, you know, that I pull out and have to snap back. Except I wouldn't pull it out and snap it back - you would. Agh! Agh! Agh! Agh! And by the way, you know, when you're telling these little stories? Here's a good idea - have a POINT. It makes it SO much more interesting for the listener!

I like the trade. Both players are great.
I dont understand being upset about it only being posted 4 hours. If you have any interest in a player, PM the GM. Dont sit around hoping he posts a block and then miss out.
                                I see no issue here.
