I see Argot signed up at the Neon Baseball Board as well.

FWIW I wouldn't dismiss the idea of having an Imperial Baseball League some day. There are just a number of reasons why it wouldn't be wise for me to run a league right now, some being:

1) it'd be best to let other leagues (including NB) be the guinea pigs - the IFL started late and it payed off
2) I've hardly even played MP OOTP - hanging around this league should be good
3) it's summertime, which is quite possible the worst time to set a league up IMO

I have my doubts that a 150+ team league will be able to "pull it off", but I'm going into it with pretty low expectations.

If they figure out a way to pull it off it will be awesome...

The Asian league looks like the place to be, and has the best probability to make the World Elite (2 teams out of 16), and they may be the first league to fill.

I think they may have difficulty filling all the slots in all of the leagues, and then refilling them as time goes on. My experience has been that alot of atrition (how do you spell that) happens after the first two years of sims. The dedication of the owners of the league impresses me tho.

150 teams will never fuckin work. 32 team leagues take forever to stabalize and are in fact lucky if they ever do.

I've had a passing thought about plonking the cash down to by it but I've been burned by pretty much every game i've bought since FOF4 and the AI worries already popping are keeping my credit card far, far away from the internet.

Yea, i'm actually going to go back to the forum soon and shoot them another PM cancelling my request for both reasons 1 and 2. I'll wait till the bugs are ironed out in OOTP, and leagues come and go before I join one and get serious on it. Plus i'd like to play solo for a little while and get a feel of the game.

They say they are gonna wait till at least the first patch to start. That will give me time to see if I want to commit to this. In the meantime I can try and claim my territory just in case.

I still don't have a true handle about their league, but it certaintly looks ambitious - lol

how is the game? i thought the old ootp's simulated the nuances of baseball nearly flawlessly but terrible ai kept the game down. has the game been totally converted to fm like they did with ehm. i thought ehm was too changed - didnt feel like hockey anymore, more like soccer with hockey stats. when i saw sports interactive pick up ootp i was afraid it would suffer the same fate.
