Well I went against what I wanted to, and bought OOTP early. I was going to wait a week for the bugs to be ironed out, but screw it. I want a special link tomorrow to download and check it out. I probably won't get enough time to play for a few days anyway.

So is anyone going to be starting a league?

I just applied for Taipei (Taiwan) in the Asian League.

Wow, the more I read about it, the bigger it gets. It may be too big for me lol, it looks a little confusing how they have teams switching all around.

Plus did I read it right, the current plans are to only be able to sign players from your home country? I expected it to be kind of like real life where there's MLB then a bunch of other smaller leagues. Of course most would flock to the major league clubs though as GM's, so I guess it's best to be more equal. Again, that's if I read it right

Yeah, it's big. We'll see how it goes. I'm more worried about the actual game than I am about the goings of the league. Seems to be a good core of passionate guys over there.

No, that's not right. There's currently a discussion asking how leagues should relate to each other. I'm of the opinion that the some of the better baseball nations should have just a little more talent coming out than say Italy and the Netherlands. Not as extreme as is it in real-life, but some. The idea of giving certain countries talent "biases" is being tossed around as well, ie Japan players have more contact than power and the Caribbean countries might have better fielding.

So it may be possible players can be traded or signed by players from other leagues? I read somewhere about the draft, and they're still debating about that. I may put in for a team just in case.

Definitely. The goal for each team is to get into the World Elite League by whatever means necessary.
