I mentioned that a couple months ago and it went over like a box full of coal. Don't think a single person liked the idea.

I was for it, and still am - especially if it would get us full up. I sympathize with the original owners though and the history the IFL has. Heck, my first draft pick ever is just about to retire (I think) - and I somehow won a championship - so I hate to leave all that history behind. But if it is a choice between scraping the league or rebooting with a bunch of the same owners - I vote for reboot. I bet a lot more would be willing to restart now since it is a new version and all.

After Hooper posted, the thought of a reboot popped in my head. It's funny I wasn't alone.

Jave, I don't think our situation a few months ago was as grim as it is today.

I'm not sure if I'd be completely open to a reboot, but if I were, some things would have to happen...

          a) A website for the league be updated to recognize the former champions and hall of famers (for this league, or both). Hopefully we can also recognize HoF GM's as well (Jester would come to mind - should he quit)

          b) Since we are the majority, we get first pick of the cities.

          c) I get first overall pick

I'd be open for a reboot if it meant we could keep the ship sailing.

            I would prefer fictional teams.

Yes, fictional teams for sure. I have to keep the Houston Renegades going!

I'd be down for whatever. A reboot would be fine. I just can't believe I built Anchorage into a football town despite never winning a championship!

I'm in for the new version even though I haven't bought it yet. I'm not a big fan of a reboot for selfish reasons, as the Catfish have almost climbed the mountain to be a perennial contender after a very long rebuild. That being said, it is the people of this league that I would not want to lose, no matter what the quality of the game is and will side with the majority.

I wasn't suggesting a reboot here. I was referring to the attempt of a PFL reboot. I can see why you'd want to keep your history intact. I'm in either way though.

I believe this is our best bet to keep this alive. Glad to see others agree. I don't really care all about honoring past GM's, they aren't here anymore and this would be a totally fresh start.

Hooper, have you talked to your guys in your league about joining us yet? Was just wondering what kind of feedback you were getting.

I just mentioned it today. Actually, BHB beat me to it. He must've been stalking you guys. Anyway jley and I are in. BHB sounds interested. Another guy will only join a league where he can be the 2013 Chiefs. One mentioned the one game a week being too slow. PFL was a 4 sim per week league. I would only expect two or three more to even comment.

Can we also make this a 2 to 3 SIM per week? I am fairly certain that hoop sour help if pfl goes defunct.

3 is just too much. I don't mind a 9-10 week season (real life week), but I don't want to bang out a new season every 6 weeks or so.

We might be ok with 2 sims per week. 1 is not going to generate enough outside interest.

                                Another thought...

What if we figured out a way to merge the leagues. Something like Primetime Football Conference and Imperial Football Conference. Name the league Imperial Primetime Football League. The Primetime conference would have real cities/team and Imperial conference would have IFL teams.

Trying to throw something fun out there...
