    I AM!!!

Honestly, I'm no expert at this game. I'm competitive by nature, but I choose not to make sure i have triple affinities with my QB's.

Wish I could share more with people. That said, I'd be more than willing to share anything I do know.

Speaking of affinities, I'm new to phocusing on them. If anyone has a method or an organized way of doing things such as my 2024 Phantoms Off-Season thread I'd love to hear it in it's own thread. I'm currently not willing to use that zodiac chart and my own lack-of-method to phocus much on affinities. I get what I get and then add 2-3 when I complete my roster each season.

Great stuff guys. I am mostly clueless on a lot of this stuff so I am enjoying it.

          Affinities.

I use the ingame help - green is good blue is bad.

It is a factor for me. All things being equal I will get the green guy and avoid the blue guy

I sadly do not do the zodiac thingy during the draft though. I should and I did when I built the Opie/Fortune Mules.

Haven't used a zodiac chart before but I really pay attention to affinities and conflicts: A happy team is a good team.

The only thing I really worry about is getting QB affinities. The rest are nice, but not as necessary.

I have noticed through playing a ton of seasons of FOF, that good chemistry teams play well in the first half of seasons, and good cohesion teams play well later in the year. If your team has both, you can contend even with medium talent.

A good organized way to get the affinities, is to use draft analyzer. If you run extractor and include free agents, it should get you all available players. In the settings within draft analyzer, just plug in the birthdays of your position players, then load the extractor output. Guys in green are affinity matches with your position players.

When I have the time to spend doing this, it helps alot!

                Hope this helps.

I have an word document that tracks the zodiac, however, there are times like this year that I broke from the mold in choosing Winston Falcone. I'm still a bit conflicted on it as I was going to switch my chemistry from Bridges to Cheung, but now I have to keep it at Bridges because Falcone would have a conflict with Cheung. I couldn't pass up the stud LB though considering my run defense weakness.

I have never been able to get my cohesion up though despite trying to hold on to my players and being very careful when adding in others.

You do realize that the cohesion #'s within the game are actually how your cohesion is vs. the other teams in the league, right? You could have good cohesion, but maybe 10 other teams have better cohesion than you....

When I want good cohesion, I use Super Poli-Grip Denture Cream... cohesive to the max, and nothing slips. Ever.

yes, and when other teams players retire or leave the roster, you get that immediate bump in the cohesion screen.

One important thing to note about cohesion is that (I think) only your starting players are used - it is calculated on every play. So if you hang on to your older vet for cohesion but he sits on the bench the whole game he is not actually contributing to your cohesion. At least that's the way I understand it.
