    Exciting game.
I emphazised on stopping the pass. Well, that didn't work so well. Our offense tried to answer to your scoring drives but I wasn't able to follow. I thought I'd be able to slow you down in the 1st quarter, but then came the 4 plays drives the rest of the game.

Still a good game for us. We need more D and we'll compete with the best of the IFL.

Hell of an offense you got there Tarcone. GG man.

      Monday Morning QB

Conference standings as I see it.

      American Conference
      1. West Virginia
      2. Portland
      3. Iowa City
      4. Murfreesboro
      5. Norfolk
      6. Anchorage

Norfolk helped themselves the most in the AC with a win over Portland. Next has to be Cleveland. They are on the outside looking in, and every win is important.

      National Conference

      1. Tulsa
      2. Newark
      3. Oakland
      4. Pennsylvania
      5. Lawrence
      6. Vancouver

Looks like Newark helped themselves the most this weekend with a win and a Lawrence loss. This puts the Bulldogs from 5th seed to 2nd seed. Oakland is a close 2nd as they edged out Lawrence.

Several key moments in the game. One was:

2-2-NFK11 (3Q: 10:10) Jay Caro pass completed to WR Dominic Field for 11 yards and a TOUCHDOWN! PENALTY: Portland was called for Illegal Use of the Hands.
2-12-NFK21 (3Q: 09:59) Jay Caro sacked by OLB Rob Peterson for a loss of 6 yards. Sack allowed by Leonard Mattes. The ball was fumbled and recovered by NFK Curtis Carpenter for 15 yards to the NFK42.

But the play of the game was the Viper stop on the one yard line with the situation being 4th and goal. That was sweet!!!!

Statistically, Seals dominated first downs and time of possession. Just glad to get out of Portland with the win.

You have a very good team. It is tough to get your stride back while transitioning signal callers. For some reason, we have always kept Caro in check. But back to this season, you got a fight on your hand with Anchorage. Good luck on that and good game.
Yeah, we just can't win if we turn the ball over like that. Jay Caro has been looking rather Favre-esqe in his late years with those interceptions.

We got lucky with Anchorage dropping one, too. I don't expect to get many more breaks like that.

definitely helped you, putting you from a #2 seed to the #1 seed and homefield throughout. You are in control of your own destiny now.

I've had Homefield Throughout blow up in my face too often. I just want to get in each year. Wild Card is a fine invitation to the Big Tourney.

GG Cleveland... saw that we had lost earlier in the week but only just watched the game.

Had a few internet issues and sickness so not done more than check the forum this week.

Felt like this was one the Mules let slip away due to the turnovers and misfiring as we got into the Clawz half a bunch but then you have drives ending with missed FG, FG, INT, FG, Fumble, INT all in the Cleveland half you know you left lots of points on the field.

Good win for the Clawz now need the Mules to bounce back this week
