Hey Jave! Sanford is dominating the passing stats and Andrews and Brick the receiveing. Should I run more?

you have a really good team (minus WRs). IWC secondary was playing lights out today, defending 12 passes and help the team to overcome the mediocre offensive play. Like you predicted, turnovers were huge in this one as the early fumble recovery TD helped my team to settle down, control some clock and make Schwartz pass the ball.

yeah the 2 TDs that built the Snipe Hunter lead were the result of the 2 Warthog TOs - danm rookies!

GG...We played you pretty well until midway through the 3rd quarter. Not sure why we felt we needed to go for 7 when we could have had a FG to keep it close. Then the 4th quarter just steamrolled out of control.

I was swearing as it went wide as I thought we had blown a chance to sneak a win. The flag was great for us but I really felt your pain having lost in similar circumstances in another league.

It was a GG for both teams and really could have gone either way as you moved the ball really well but turnovers were the key.

Good luck the rest of the way

Good game DG. Dakota came to play today and had us down 14-3 before we knew what had happened. My reward for the win is a tough 3-game stretch against MAD, PEN and OAK. I was hoping MAD would beat OAK today so that we could maybe get overlooked next week - but that's not going to happen. Well-traveled journeyman TE Tim Strugielski had a career day with 4 catches, 76 yds and 2 TDs. And my 98 rated on longsnapping center had a bad snap on a FG?!?

                  Good ass-whipping Cleveland.

My, how my team and real life favorite (Jets) mirror each other.

Each seem to have over-hyped defenses, and a QB who is highly rated but seems to only be capable of imploding lately.

Worked out a special defensive gameplan just for you. effupthefbirds.fdp Looks like it was a keeper. We seemed to shut you guys down on the ground and in the air.

Clawz ground attack is phenominal this year, averaging over 5 per carry. With the running game tearing it up, Perkins is finding a lot more pass friendly coverages. We're gonna ride this out as long as it lasts. It seems like the Clawz are firing on all cylinders right now, and I just hope we aren't peaking too early.

GG Rex. See you again in 10 weeks. Maybe you'll bring your A-game next time

My team has played hard and hung in every game this year. Alas, I'm still winless and am freaking tired of being irrelevant. I wanna come out and play but all my toys suck. Forced multiple fumbles again but could only recover one. Had a kickoff returned for a TD and had to settle for 4 fg's. Story of my season is settling for 3 when I need 7. That's what she said.

Yea, it's pretty disappointing. 5 Weeks in we've lost 2 starters for the year. It's odd because of Donovan being pretty much maxed out on formations I was able to invest 2:20 in conditioning, or whatever it's called that reduces injuries and it hasn't seemed to have the impact I was hoping. I assume that the game doesn't use that formula for the big injuries, it's just (bad) luck of the draw.

What a WAR withMadison. We FINALLY are able to defeat the Demons, and to make the win even sweeter, we beat BOSS on his home field.
As is always the norm when we play Madison, it's a war. Both teams slugging it out toe to toe. No trick plays, no fancy schemes, just head to head football.

Madison breaks a 10-10 deadlock late in the second and scores the next 13 unanswered point to take a 23-10 lead and the game seemed all but over. But the true test of great teams is never giving up and Oakland never stopped fighting. The turning point in the game came on 3rd and 13 with 30 seconds left in the 3rd quarter. WLB Adam "HORSE" Kollars, who it seemed like was blitzing for the 102nd time in the game gets caught outside the play andStephen Scottwho had seen enough, sidesteps him an throws a 37 yard pass to rookie FL Winston Stuart for a 1st down on the Demons 5 yard line and Scott throws a 2yd touchdown pass to bring Oakland within 23-17.
The second key play came courtesy of "Horse" again, who once again, was blitzing and once again, Scott made him look more like a horse's ass when he launched a touchdown bomb to FL Mitchell Brown who fakes out his defender and sprints 56yds for the touchdown, and the 24-23 lead.
The real key was the curious decision by Madison to run the ball 3 straight times with a 1st down on the 18 yard line. Playing right into the Assassins hands we play strong run defense and force the field goal.
Only needing 3 points for the win Scott throws a short pass to FB Omar Karl who jukes his defender and takes off for 35 yards for a 1st down on the 8 yard line. K Cornell Burgess, who has been nothing but clutch for this team since he arrived kicks the game winning field goal and despite losing Donovan for the second consecutive year,Oakland is 4-1.

Great game BOSS. Will Irby is one of the best damn quarterbacks I've ever faced. Your gameplan was brilliant as usual. The key of the game was overblitzing Kollars. Scott started to catch on and was able to evade him on multiple occasions for big gains. Your coach running the ball 3 straight times with a 1st down on the 18 was a poor decision as well when Irby had been torching my cornerbacks all day. One play here or there was the difference in the game. It could have gone either way.

It doesn't get any easier as so far, withNewark in week 3, Madison this week and now Pennsylvania next week, we must have the toughest schedule in the IFL. The fact were at 4-1 now is a testament to the toughness of this squad. I'm pretty proud of this group of guys. Maybe the best team I've ever had.

Kollars does blitz on every down. He's the WLB in the 3-4 defense.

Gotta believe that the key to Oakland's success so far this year is Scott. He's kept everything status quo on the offense. This allows Wilson to do what he does.

I am aware the WLB is the blitzing linebacker in a 3-4. I'm also pretty sure blitzing every single down is something you set in the gameplan. It's a risky choice as you can get burned. I'm not doubting BOSS's gameplan, it's beaten me 2 years running. He's one of the best teams in the league. I was just stating after watching the game it was one of the reasons we were able to beat Madison.

He's played amazing so far. It may not be enough to get to the playoffs, but considering my options, I couldn't be happier.

GG until midway through the 3rd when a couple costly plays put us ahead by a great margin, TimG! A winless Texas team is a VERY strange sight to see at this point in the season.
