I am aware the WLB is the blitzing linebacker in a 3-4. I'm also pretty sure blitzing every single down is something you set in the gameplan. .

If you play 3-4, the WLB rushes every down. This happens regardless of your blitzing percentages. The only time this is not the case is if you are in dime.

Well yes and no. One of the "Will's" responsibilities is also to cover the first man out of the backfield. I understand he rushes the passer more often then not, but not EVERY time. But I understand your point.
