The fact that he didn't take my offer doesn't bother me one bit. A player could take less money to go somewhere in the real NFL too. What bothers me is that he shouldn't have been a damn free agent in the 1st place.

Yea, I agree...BUT...You did have all year to resign him..I have already resigned 3 of the 4 guys I want to keep who are eligible for FA next year. Besides..he's getting old...start looking for the next guy! haha

Backed up against the cap last year. Tried to reneg with him in 5 consecutive sims at the end of the year last year and he kept turning it down. Was able to franchise Ike, but that left Maggard exposed. I made a crucial mistake last year that won't be repeated. But this year, either I will pay through the nose, or have to realign my linebacking corps and it changes the way I draft. He's not really worth that kind of money, but I need him for my system.

Mmmm, I know, he was still on the contract he signed when he was a backup. It would've cost me a lot of money last season to sign him right away. That's why I wanted to franchise him. I'm in 5 leagues and played something like 30 seasons and never missed a critical export like that. I had no reason to sign him during the year just to prevent it from happening since it never happens.
