lol, in 1 and 2 year deals, the bonus applied in any given year cannot exceed the base salary for said year. It's not that hard.

I have to plead ignorance of this as well. I was under the impression that the Bonus could not exceed the TOTAL salary of the 2 years offered. The rule IS in black and white, but I also had the same misconception. I thought that if you had
Year 1 - 1.3 million
year 2 - 2 million
Bonus 3 million

That it was ok because the total bonus was less than the total 2 year salaries combined.

Again, my ignorance, and I dont mean to stick up for HA, but I can understand the reasoning :-)

Hmm maybe, i need to revisit the language. But no, as long as the bonus doesnt outwiegh the base in any given year, it's fine.

LT Jason Dube signed by Wichita also violates the rule. This contract will be voided in tommorow nights sim and he will return to free agency.

Isn't the rule to punish people. Releasing Dube sounds like a call from the governor for a pardon.

Seriously, I warn people to run from his "services". He gave up 8 sacks last year on a Phantom team that gave up only 22 as a team and his skills will no doubt diminish after training camp. He's a cancer to any IFL offensive line at this stage in his career.

For those that want a tighter salary cap this is one of the rules you might want to pay attention on revisiting.


Limiting bonus money limits dead money which increases available salary cap room.
