Lousy game we played, a half a million false start penalties, fumbled twice and an interception returned for a TD. Just plain gave the game away. GG Los Angeles on your 2nd win. We might find a way not to make the playoffs after all. : (MIAMI VICE - 2074

Yup those were the two biggest plays of the game, by far. I was thinking I was destined to win this one. Overall, though, it was a very entertaining game that came down to the final couple minutes. You're punt coverage was amazing. I think I had three straight drives start inside my 5 yard line. Crazy.Originally posted by Matt View Postwe were destined to not win this one. I think every penalty we had just killed us. This one most of all
4-4-WVA37 (4Q: 03:01) Paul Johnston punted 47 yards. Walter Walker returned the kick 44 yards to the WVA40. PENALTY: Newark was called for an Illegal Use of Hands on the Punt Return.
However, had Shultz made this
4-10-WVA18 (3Q: 09:01) Butch Schulz attempted a 35 yard field goal and missed wide to the left
Good luck winning your division.Two-time IFL Champion (2014, 2015)

Yeah, you had a billion false starts, pretty weird considering my stadium was essentially empty. Spotting me a 21-0 lead was pretty cool until you bitch slapped me for 24 straight points before halftime. Somehow my team hung on though. Time for showdowns with Anchorage and Portland to close out the season.Originally posted by Argot View PostLousy game we played, a half a million false start penalties, fumbled twice and an interception returned for a TD. Coder ... a very tough game on both sides. First half to the Mountainers, second half to the Vipers.
Converting on third downs and special team returns seemed to be the difference.
Good luck in the final weeks ... your conference is pretty damn tough. I've got my hands full in the AC East as well and will graciously take this hard fought win.

Got exactly the kind of tough game I was expecting from Boston. I wish this one could've been played on paper with the focus on W-L records.
Stanfield and Greene, though flashy in the stats columns, both failed when it counted most: Greene making a rookie mistake of telegraphing a 1 yard pass pattern and causing a would-be-TD to eventually be a FG, and Stanfield unable to capitalize on 1st and 10 at the Boston 32 yard line with about a minute left in the game.
Great victory for your team KingFC!
What a stretch run this is! Exciting times in the IFL!

5th game this season i've lost by less than a TD. Suck.
My defense actually showed some promise, I may be figuring some things out in those massive, yet very shitty gameplan options in 2k7. you know, it wouldn't be nearly as bad if we could lock options so we can set key ones and let rex handle the rest.
Anyway, going to be an interesting off-seasonSteve Beans - Houston Renegades

Mules refused to take advantage of field position in the first half and gave up a blocked punt and 20 straight points for a dissapointing loss
gg David as the Generals outplayed the miserably homestanding Mules.
On the plus side a Mule S is finally getting out of the training room and onto the field for a must win game in Louisiana against the hated VooDoo next week.
Mules do NOT control their own destiny and next weeks game is a must win IMO, although probably not truly.
If the Mules can manage to get into the POs they should be healthy for the first time this season.sigpic

I hate losing like that.
Team is improving I guess. We had a couple good drives on offense. Singleton played well. Defensive backs suck hind tit.
I have many holes to fill and am now officially in the #1 pick slot

I just noticed that Finger Lozier set a new record in Imperial League lore.
Harold "Finger" Lozier is the first QB to win 100 games. He did this this week in the Viper victory over defending Imperial Bowl Champs Vermont. He also notched another 4th quarter comeback in that game that ties him for the lead in that category too. The last Viper drive in that game started on the Viper 4 yard line. See the log below to see how it progressed. He eventually gave the ball to his backs in order to milk the clock and set up a game winning field goal.
2-10-NFK04 (4Q: 03:34) Harold Lozier pass completed to WR Boyce Groth for 37 yards. Tackled by CB Damon Dawkins. The receiver ran his route right over the middle of the field. Groth gained 11 yards after the catch.
1-10-NFK41 (4Q: 02:53) Finger Lozier pass completed to TE Jerald Harden for 21 yards. Tackled by CB Alonzo Lake. The quarterback threw away from the double coverage.
1-10-VER38 (4Q: 02:34) Finger Lozier pass fell incomplete, intended for WR Boyce Groth. S Clay Wiggins defended the pass. The quarterback threw into double coverage.
2-10-VER38 (4Q: 02:26) Harold Lozier pass completed to WR Boyce Groth for 12 yards. Tackled by S Clay Wiggins, assisted by S Bryant Gattis. The receiver ran his route right over the middle of the field.
1-10-VER26 (4Q: 02:09) Harold Lozier pass completed to TE Jerald Harden for 14 yards. The receiver went out of bounds. Tackled by ILB Kevin Gentile. Harden gained 2 yards after the catch.
Even though Finger is starting to feel the age come on, he still has his vintage moments.

the game should call those illegal shifts instead. Jim should tie the false start to home versus away and the size of the crowd and whether a dome etc. Instead all we get is a purely randomized BS penalty engine....Originally posted by hawkster View PostYeah, you had a billion false starts, pretty weird considering my stadium was essentially empty.
