Phantoms travel 23 minutes south today to face our cross-conference neighbors, the Dragons. Boston has already beaten Vermont this season so will not be taken lightly.
Interestingly the Phantoms are a 5 point favorite but the Dragons are the favorite for all 4 "match-up categories" in FOF's preview.
Boston has quite a defensive line and the overall talent to turn it on starting this very week. It's going to be a rough road down the stretch for my team.

I'm just glad to be in the hunt for the division crown. If Norfolk and WVA both lose this week, we have our destiny in our hands.

Not really looking forward to playing WV. There is a lot of good young talent on that squad, and if we have any chance of winning we're going to need a big game from our defense.
Looking forward to seeing Lawrence v. Boston, Vermont v. Norfolk, Portland v. Madison, and Reno v. IWC.NEWARK BULLDOGS WALL OF HONOR

Don't get too excited. We will find some way to fold in our tents and throw the game away. Almost just want to blow this team to smithereens and start over because it just ain't working.Originally posted by Matt View PostNot really looking forward to playing WV. we were destined to not win this one. I think every penalty we had just killed us. This one most of all
4-4-WVA37 (4Q: 03:01) Paul Johnston punted 47 yards. Walter Walker returned the kick 44 yards to the WVA40. PENALTY: Newark was called for an Illegal Use of Hands on the Punt Return.
However, had Shultz made this
4-10-WVA18 (3Q: 09:01) Butch Schulz attempted a 35 yard field goal and missed wide to the leftNEWARK BULLDOGS WALL OF HONOR

Another big blow to our oline losing Bailey for the rest of the regular season. Hopefully Marsh can get his fat ass back soon so that I can have some type of a line.NEWARK BULLDOGS WALL OF HONOR

Good game Orlando. You guys were able to capitalize on our mistakes and that was the difference in the game.
Good grief we laid an egg. I'd just like to know where the heck in our game plan it says to throw 60 times in a game. We threw 50 times last week, I turn the runs up, and we throw 60 times this week? I guess run % doesn't mean what I think it does.

Sometimes Mueller looks all pro. I think if we can get him one more good WR he can put up better numbers. GG.Originally posted by Warhammer View PostGood game Orlando. You guys were able to capitalize on our mistakes and that was the difference in the game.
