Big first win of the season over Iowa city. I won't put much into this win, we usually start strong and fade and Iowa seems to always be there at the end of the season for the division.

The output is the work of gstelmack's utility, but Vic has taken the time to get it on our board.

Still plan on switching over to that page we used for the draft (hopefully sooner or later). The old one isn't feasible anymore.

Good grief, when did Blanchard's ratings tank? I've been keeping an eye on them, and all of a sudden he is a 40/40 guy?

Also, being in nickel defense against the run is bad...

Good game r00k, next game is going to be closer, of course after a 26 point drubbing, that shouldn't be too hard.

It's just typical Tulsa vs. Little Rock. I am sure it will go Tulsa's way sometime.

Thanks though, and GG to you as well. WR Randolph Kennedy sure busted out of the gates this year catching all 9 passes thrown his way for over 150 yards. Brian Dixon had a pretty solid day. And Kinney was strong at DE like I hope he can do all year. Strong in the RZ and stron on 3rd down. Just a solid way to start off the season, which kind of worries me sometimes.

St. Louis comes to town in week two. Very interesting....

Normally I would be disappointed with a loss to SLC, but not so much this year. I am in phase 1 of a complete rebuild. When I started playing this game I drafted like a fan. QB, receivers, CB's etc...But after a few years of really studying what it took to win, I realized that while the "glamor" positions are fun to draft and watch, it's the lines that win and lose these games.

I did a complete rebuild on my offensive line this year including my quarterback of the future, Donovan. But instead of going "glamor" with receivers(looks good on paper Vito, but lets just see) I am rebuilding the lines first, and then the backfield, TE, receivers etc....So while you beat me and I am sure your pleased, lets just see who is rebuilding for the future, rather then the couple of cool wins that receiver gives ya.

Regardless, it's still a win and props go to you. Not sure why I didn't double him but it always seems when I double a receiver, the other goes banana's. A win is a win. Lets see how that plan works for ya the rest of the year.

Good week for us. Guys played pretty well, and our secondary abused Hairston. GG Ragin.

I'm not sure who I should have been rooting for between StL and Murf though, that was tough. Even though Murf is better on paper, StL always finds ways to stay in the race no matter what players get injured, who retire, or who die from dysentery.

thanks ... hope the season gives you a few more breaks that you got in this game. What I saw on the field was not a Hartford team.

                          Cringer ... Chris Rex

Walter McKelvey, playing backup, has a career day ... 22 carries 121 yards; 1 catch 13 yards.

                          Starter B.J. Woodward has 21 carries 105 yards; 4 catches 48 yards.

William Brown was injured, so I moved McKelvey into the backup role. What a pleasant surprise! :thnx:

Vera went for 4th and long deep in Mule territory again. Not saying it was a bad call, but dang it is first down or game over with that call.

Bah started out like gangbusters then Steiner flutters about 5 ints and what should of been a close game turns into a route.

Jeff and Caro and co. if you contunue to short the heck out of us you'll be found and shot to death. Caro first, on spot!
Nah really expect more zone in the future. :loser:

Not real happy about our defensive play-calling after we got behind (too much agg pass D in running situations). Have to correct that and not rely on the computer's dumb-ass suggestions.

And please can we just get rid of the off and def gameplan adjustments. Hate those things when I mess with them things go wry.

What???!!! You seriously did not just imply that I drafted for glamour. Now that you finally made this groundbreaking discovery about the lines (lol) you want to blast my rebuild? C'mon Jave, you can't honestly look at my team and tell me that I've not recovered from salary cap debacle quite nicely. I may not have a winning season with a 2nd year QB and an 11-year vet at RB, but I will be competitive.

I blew 2 draft classes chasing players until I sat down and settled on the offensive/defensive schemes I want to run.

Iceman knows that I wanted to go defense with my pick BUT I had a serious need at WR -- Dewitt only had a TE to throw to. I lucked out by having NT Ordona (the reason you'll be drafting another C/G next off-season) fall to me in the 2nd and even hit on my 3rd rounder (WILB) as he's an exact fit for my defense.

Fuck being sexy on paper -- have you seen the screen shots of the Stallions in uniform? Especially the Crimson Jersey / Black Pants combo---bitch we are sexy on paper and on the field :P

As for double teaming Gomez -- you might just want to do that next game
