Always nice to start off the season with 45 points. :dancing: (Chris Rex might agree)

      gg Coder.
You tried to let us keep in the game with TO's, but Burger sucked today. We had a good chance to win, but 2 missed long FG's would've/could've been the difference.
Marasco had some knee damage and is now out for a few.

I about had a hernia when Anchorage rolled down the field for TD's on their first three drives. Then Steiner's rustiness and Budda's bad gameplan came to fruition.

Thanks Matt, I was really frustrated with all the fumbles and penalties. I'm sure that Virgil's "Significant" Seasonal rust had something to do with the the two interceptions though.

As for your receiver's stats; sure, you got some nice passes in, but I really consider my pass-defense to be just as good as last year, if not even better given Lake's progress. Reeg is solid on the left end tonight, contributing in key moment such as the last pass of the game you attempted that would have given you a much better FG-position.

Dawkins and Lake with an interception each, with that, I'm pleased. Castor and Virgil connected a few times for long gains. They could team up to be a really good tandem now that Virgil's shaken off his rust. Bakker returns a punt for 82 yards and a TD. Very nice to see him living up to his return-potential; an area where I've sucked the past few years.

Huge problem: Penalties.. damn.. I was pulled back enough times to score in my own endzone.

Crawford didn't quite look up to par, but Fann sure backed him up. Great combo.

On a sidenote, now that it didn't cost me a win, I'm mighty pleased to see Crespo pull some nice yardage out of his sleeve. The old goat isn't dead yet .

GG Texas. Nail biter to the end as always.

We start the new season with a much needed win. It should still be a semi rough year for us, but we are slowly getting better.

exciting game, hawkster, as always it was pretty much a coin flip. hard to win a game when your QB throws 5 INTs.

Ike had a good first game. Hope I don't have to face him ever.

well, you don't lose the way I just did at home and expect to compete for a championship. This team is still to young to compete. As talented as I think they are, the Beasts need another season of maturity. I still think we may play very well in the second half, but the first half of this season could end up being a nightmare. Chad Harding and our offensive line has to play better. Two sacks given up by our best lineman, RT Rodriquez, was horrible. And he never got in position to get a key run block opportunity. Have to figure out what went wrong there.

The only positive I can take out of this game is we did well on kick returns, and we had a lot of them. But we could do shit with good field position we had at times. Congrats to Boston on a dominating performance. Hopefully, we can give you a game next time.

Now, its time to reground and see if I get these guys to play competitive ball. Thank god I didn't trade away my first round pick next year like I was tempted to do a few times this offseason. If we play like this all year, that's going to be another good pick.
