We don't even have a Comeback Player of the Year Award. Do you mean the Breakout Player Award?

i think he more closely resembles Breakout Player anyway. Warhammer is correct - prior to this season Collela was essentially not making it happen. he nearly took the Heroes to the playoffs, and in the final meaningful game of the season he threw for over 300 yards. other than QB rating he's had career bests in basically all other categories. he's come out of nowhere to play at a level where i think you'd have to agree he's one of the top 5 QB's in the game - top 10 without a doubt.Originally posted by JeffWe don't even have a Comeback Player of the Year Award. Not sure he'd be top 5, I'd agree with top 10 right now. My top 5 right now:Originally posted by Hell Atlantici think he more closely resembles Breakout Player anyway. 1) Caro
2) Steiner
3) Given
4) Stanifield
5) Hickman - (I admit this is a bit of a homer pick, but I wouldn't trade Hickman for Collela straight up)
Booker and Lozier would be in there, but they've been injured and who knows how they'll look when they comeback. If they comeback at full strength Booker is definitely in there ahead of Given. I'd put Lozier ahead of Steiner, but I like Lozier more than most.

Correct, that's why I was so pissed at Chaplin 4th qtr INT hiccup---we hold on to win there and we're talking about a 12-4 record and a bye 8)Originally posted by JeffNoticed one mistake. SLC can't get a bye as PIT and LAW have both the top spots locked up.
Edit: Hmm.. same goes for Little Rock. Pitt actually has 12 wins, maybe that's what caused the confusion.[Vito]Stallion

I recognize that feeling. :cry:Originally posted by Warhammer
I won't make any comments about this primarily due to karma being a bitch...
Just to hype Stanfield a little bit during this "top X QBs" talk: The guy's 9-1 with his only loss coming against playoff-bound Little Rock on the road in a game he got injured in. He's also 2nd in the league in passer rating, is leading a record breaking offense, and beat Caro head-to-head.
And it's "Stanfield" mutha#$!#ers!!!

In 2008 Colella had a better completion percentage, better yards per throw, and similar TD/int rating last year (1.4 to 1.6). It's really only the amount of times he has thrown the ball that has given him the better stats, not any increase in efficiency. Last year's breakout player, Chaplin, had over his career high a 4% increase in completion percentage, a 2 yard/throw increase, and a TD/int which was almost 3. Colella is probably a top 10 QB though.Originally posted by Hell Atlantici think he more closely resembles Breakout Player anyway. I'll say this for Hickman, at 4 years and $10 mil, he is a bargain.

I predict I am going to hurt so many Toads, that his starters will have to come in. My team will then dismember the starters. In turn it will cause you to be knocked out of the 1st round of the playoffs.
