  • *******IMPT: 2009 Roll Call/ Owner Awards Tie-in*******

This season roll call/check-in will be a little different. Instead of simply stating your desire to remain the league, you will need to PM me an Owner Awards ballot. Therefore, voting for the Owner Awards is mandatory if you wish to remain in the league for another season. You will have until Dec 31st to send in ballots. I am starting the voting a week earlier because of the new requirements and because of the holidays. Remember, there are eight awards that need to be voted on:

Do NOT vote for your own players (and do not vote yourself as Executive of the Year). If you do so, your ballot will be rejected. If you do not vote for all of the awards, your ballot will be rejected.

Most Valuable Player -- I tend to only pick a guy from a team with a winning record. You may use your own criteria though.

    Offensive Player of the Year

    Defensive Player of the Year

Offensive Rookie of the Year -- Check out the Green Page (click me) to help you vote on these two awards - it'll help you tremendously.

    Defensive Rookie of the Year

Special Teams Player of the Year -- Return men or kicking specialists.

Breakout Player of the Year -- This is for a player whose production has dramatically increased from years past. Only players with four or more years experience should be given consideration. I will come up with a list of possible nominees for this award.

Executive of the Year (used to be Owner of the Year) -- I changed the wording of this award as I'd like it to relate to team performance and offseason maneuvering only.

    Vote away!

If you don't plan on returning please give me a shout. I promise I'll let you finish the playoffs if you are involved in them.

Also, feel free to pimp your own players in this thread.

He's not a candidate for anything, but I just noticed that [ifl]Ted Lofton[/ifl] has turned into a decent pass-rushing specialist. I don't recall his ratings being that good after he initially busted. Maybe they've been creeping up?

Player of the game once this year, after a 14 tackle and a sack performance against Cleveland. Unquestioned leader of the best run defense in the league. Give my man some love!

Dexter Edmonds has to be considered for Breakout Player. He has 455 yards and 20 catches more then any season he has played. Plus he has one more game to go. Ok I am done pimping. The pimp has left the building.

[ifl]Alan Crespo[/ifl] - He is the focal point of my team. He has 16 total TDs in only 13 games. He's no LT, but hey.

[ifl]Walter Walker[/ifl] - Speical teams player. He's a great punt returner who leads the league in punt return yards and avg.

[ifl]Ruben Sante[/ifl] - Breakout player of the year. As of press time, he is 2nd in the league in QB rating, rushed for 279 yds and 1 TD, won 11 games as a starter, and beat [ifl]Chris Chaplin [/ifl]in their head to head matchup

[ifl]Jamie Williams[/ifl] - Offensive rookie of the year. Well, just because he was the preseason winner

                              PIMPIN' AIN'T EASY!!

Madison players who can be considered.

Offensive Rookie of the Year- RB Charles Bell has 1273 rushing yards and a total of 12 TD's (2 receiving). Currently in 13th place overall in the league in rushing yards. In 5th place for overall rushing TD's in the league. Impact rookie without a doubt.

Special Teams Player of the Year- P Nathan Winslow leads the league in avg. per kick at a 45.2 clip. He has the longest punt in the IFL this season with a 70 yarder. He is 3rd in the league with 32 punts downed inside the opponents 20 yard line.

He was instrumental in us winning games all year. I would hope he gets some votes.

Breakout Player of the Year- DE Eric Osborne had 5 sacks this season but he could have had a few more that just got away from his grasp. Eric has 30 hurries which lead the IFL. Not too bad for a guy who came into his 5th season with only 35 hurries in the previous 4 seasons combined.

While his sack totals are not up there with the leaders he definately showed he can get to the QB.

                              2008 NC Champions
Demons Ring of Honor-QB Will Irby (HOF), CB Neal "The Real Deal" Ferguson, RB Charles Bell, K Paul Pickett, FS Robert Poole, RG Leonard Becker, TE Brenden Fields, C Seth Stender, LB Adam Kollars (HOF), LB Louis McCarthy (HOF), C James Robinson (HOF), RB Carlton Dabrowa (HOF)
