Got it last Sat and have been tinkering around with it since then.
I think the relaeas has substance and is just not a cosmetic re-do (by the way, there are some very tice touches in this department!).
Worth the money ... and after the first patch or so, it will be the gold standard, IMHO.

Thank you!Originally posted by JeffI may have jumped on the May bandwagon too soon. I'm not prepared to give a solid date for conversion at this time I guess. IHOF is going to be converting very soon, so the converter should be pretty tight right off the bat. And IF the bugs aren't rampant and IF we have a way to keep the database going, then I wouldn't know of a reason to not update after this season in January.

really?
Game loads fine on the D drive, but I cannot create a universe on D. Must be done on C. Same with creating a playerfile, gotta be directed onto C drive.
The message I recieve mentions permissions, so quite possible I have somehow set the D drive on both my laptop and main PC in a non-standard way. Quite possible actually.sigpic

Now that the 2007 test league is up and running what are your thoughts on the new game? Is the IFL going to convert in the coming seasons and has there been any discussion of a timeline?
I'm probably not going to purchase 2007 so I don't mind stepping to the side early for a new GM who will be upgrading.

Much to the chagrin of some I'm sure, I'd be surprised if all the criteria I need to see before a switch has been made will be met in the very near future. The criteria would be:Originally posted by spunkywhitebreadNow that the 2007 test league is up and running what are your thoughts on the new game? a) Major bugs gone (not the case yet from what I'm aware of)
b) Possible to keep database going (not possible yet)
c) Is a conversion safe yet? (the converter isn't even done yet)
I think it would also be in our best interests to give guys at least a month notice before a switch, so that'd put us around a mid-December decision. Are all of those questions going to have 'yes' answers in a couple of weeks? Not likely, so I would say that most likely we will not switch for 2009. Then we'll weigh our options for a 2010 switch. I would very much hope that everything will be in line by then (May/June)."Larry Deasoooooooooooooooooon" -- Phil Jenkins

I do like a lot of things about the new game and I found another one last night - draftee interviews. Very cool.
There's a lot of little improvements that kind of add up, but it's still FOF. I'm glad you're not in a hurry. There aren't really that many overwhelming improvements to make FOF 2K4 irrelevant. I don't think so anyway.

Good to hear. A heads up of a season or two will be a big help especially with some of the differences (earlier vet retirement?). As I said before, I don't mind stepping aside when the time comes to move. I think FOF2K7 is an improvement over 2K4, but I'm just not sure I want to make that step up considering I'm still enjoying 2K4. I really wish Solecismic would have upgraded TCY, but that's another tale.

I'm with you Luxx. There are some nice improvements that will add to the game, but nothing that I feel I couldn't do without.Originally posted by SuicaneIf you leave me now, you'll take away the biggest part of me.

I'll tell you this much. The Seals name will never die. If a Portland owner ever wanted to change it, I'd immediately name whatever team I currently owned the Seals. You can bet on that. It's simply my favorite logo in the league.Originally posted by P. LuxxWhy would you want to give up the Seals? I hope you don't even if we switch. It's not that expensive. I'd loan you the 30 odd bucks if you needed it.
