I like the viewer that blinks when a TD or TO happens, is that the old one? It kind of puts a little excitement into 'watching' the game.. yea, little things like that amuse me. 8)Originally posted by JeffI still use the old one. I looked at gstlemack's again this weekend and I'm just not that found of it.Steve Beans - Houston Renegades

Yeah, I do like the excitement that brings. I also have an easier time just following the game in general. The stats might be nicer in Greg's, but I just don't need them. I can pretty much keep track of them in my head.Originally posted by SteveBsFanI like the viewer that blinks when a TD or TO happens, is that the old one? bought it today. . . I usually wait but. . I had to see it. . .
I like the green names for affinities and blue for conflicts in FA screen. Nice to not have to worry about my affinity charts. . .
Don't like the roster scroll. . .my mouse changes the team and I can't scroll through the players with it. That is annoying. . . hope they would have fixed that. . .
Having the Depth charts on the roster screen is nice, although I still think you should be able to have the depth charts and roster windows open at the same time. I guess you can do that if you move it, but I am a multiple window kinda guy. let me take advantage of my two monitors. . .
Being able to assign a stud TE to a WR slot is good. . .
Rickey Manning is a 16/24 CB making 20 million over 5 years
Veteran Minimum is nice. . .
Anyone seen anything come of the Red Flag Players?
I'll sim some games tomorrow night see how I like that. .2005 AC North Division Champions

I was going to hold off on getting this game, but i'm concerned those who have it will have a 'leg up' on the rest of the league when we finally convert. Mostly about the more involved gameplanning.
To those who have the game, what do you guys think about the gameplanning? Could you see yourself having a much bigger advantage over someone who just has GP experience from the 04 version? I'm not sure if this is a stupid question or not because I have no experience with the new version, but I do know in 04 a person with lots of gameplanning experience imo has a leg up on teams that just use default gameplans, even with all the bugs and weird things (like the RB playing time thing).Steve Beans - Houston Renegades

Well, the biggest difference you first see is the layout. The gameplan screens are (allegedly) more streamlined. So there is going to be a certain amount of time for each guy just to get comfortable with that. There are some new things added in, which will need to be played with to learn what effects they have, too.Originally posted by SteveBsFanI was going to hold off on getting this game, but i'm concerned those who have it will have a 'leg up' on the rest of the league when we finally convert. Overall though, I am not sure it's a huge advantage. If you have the game for a month or so before the league switches over to 2007 then I don't see any big disadvantage to someone who has the game now.
So if the league is not switching over until May or so, then you don't need to rush it if you don't want to IMO.My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.

I may have jumped on the May bandwagon too soon. I'm not prepared to give a solid date for conversion at this time I guess. IHOF is going to be converting very soon, so the converter should be pretty tight right off the bat. And IF the bugs aren't rampant and IF we have a way to keep the database going, then I wouldn't know of a reason to not update after this season in January."Larry Deasoooooooooooooooooon" -- Phil Jenkins
