In great part I am all for a 2 game per week schedule, however, I DO like the ability to really get to know the players, which, if we sped up, eventually would go out the window. I think the format we currently have, with a couple, even 4, double games is fine. It allows for extra articles and other trash-talk, though I recognize that sometimes it gets quiet in the forum mid-week.

I'm already part of one two game a week league and that is almost too fast for my liking. With two games a week you really don't have time to analyze your opponent if you have anything to do outside of the game (such as life!).

I tend to gameplan a fair amount in this league which is something I am not able to do in IHOF due to their 2 game a week schedule. Sure, the 2 games a week keeps things moving, but you don't really get to know your players, can't gameplan well, etc., etc.

However, I am not against a few weeks where we do 2 games a week (since those rebuilding or not in the title hunt don't have to wait too long until the next season), as long as it is not the norm.

One of the key areas of this league that I'm very fond of is the 1 game/week schedule. This brings more to the table. The games seem to count more. I look forward to Sunday mornings. I wouldn't like 2 game /week schedule for this league.

I do like 2 double weekends, and more than that I think it's too much. 4 double games would be almost half the season

I could be wrong, but I think one of the reasons that the 1 game a week goes over better here than other leagues is I think our average age here is probably much higher than in other leagues.

I'd be willing to bet that IHOF's average age is higher. And FOFL's.

I'd say around half the league is in multiple leagues as well.

The main reason it works so well here is because that's what it started as. The first advertisement for the league at FOFC was for a weekend league.

I think the 3-4 double week games would be more to my liking than making each week a double week. Like Warhammer said, it is easier to do writeups that way.

OK, we're just more mature than IHOF. That or we just have fewer pains in the ass.

I'm with coder, Biggles, and anyone else who said they preferred the one game a week format with a few multiple games per week mixed in. I like the build up between each game and the opportunity to write press releases each week previewing your matchups.

I like the idea of around 3 double weeks a season and mostly around the time bye weeks start coming in, so basically between weeks 4-11. There is nothing better than having your bye week during a double week, this way you can still prepare for just one game and get your dreaded bye out of the way the same week.

I don't like the idea of double weeks every week for the reasons others have posted.
