In the interest of full disclosure it appears as if I screwed up when I last reinstalled the game which would have been at the end of last season. I apparently somehow installed 5.1c instead of 5.1d.

Best i can tell the biggest problems this may have caused for you guys was the problem Steve had and that some holdouts may have occured otherwise.

The only bright side is that it wasn't a 'major' patch and hopefully all the issues it caused to Steve can be resolved in tommorows stage, although i know he'll never get the past 2 stages back.

I think the one i've learned from this is that Jeff needs to do a better job making sure I don't fuck up.

I think in order to clear this up you should give West Virginia your 3rd round pick next year.

Well, looks like something is still a little messed up.

I guess this sim my export was in the wrong stage or something, so my rookie signings did not go through, but I still had guys I was bidding on and lost out for the same salary cap reason.

On my solo league, I put myself in a similar situation with like $140k under cap but $450k max for new player and was easily able to sign new players as long as I didn't go over the $450k mark.

For some reason most of the guys I bid on these last few stages were rejected due to cap room, even the last stage when Suicane upgraded. I had bids going on about 5-6 guys not including my rookies, and all rejected due to cap room. I don't understand it.

So I wasn't able to get my rookie bids in during these stages, and lost out on some pretty decent young players as well. I'm not sure what I should do before training camp, should I cut players and make sure I have enough cap space, or try again and gamble that they'll be rejected?

The export you sent me matched up with Monday's files, not yesterday's.

I can only assume that the problem can't be alleviated until you create an export from a league file that was made with 5.1d (which would of been today's export).

Steve, there isn't much we can do about the rookie free agents you missed out on, but I can give you feedback on the contracts you gave to your rookies in the export you made for yesterday.

Greeley accepted 1.44 over 3
Price rejected 1.44 over 3
Young accepted 1.38 over 3
Hutton accepted 1.3 over 3

So keep these in mind when making a TC export and you should have a good chance at getting them into camp.
