I agree, that's why I didn't work harder to keep him. His ratings are high, but his numbers haven't been impressive.Originally posted by Hell Atlantici would have got Kinder if i wanted him, but i didn't think his punt return stats matched his punt return ratings. his stats weren't all that wonderful. 1 PR TD last year, i can get that from anybody. still, seeing that 100 rating for PR is sexy, just nothing-i'd-give-up-a-lot-for sexy.Steve Beans - Houston Renegades

exactly. when i see 100 PR rating, i'm expecting at least 4, 5 or more PR tds. anyone can get lucky and get a PR td. for 100 rating i want stats like that PR from the Chiefs who had like 10 PR TDs LOL.Originally posted by SteveBsFanI agree, that's why I didn't work harder to keep him. Is there any real way to tell who's on your ST aside from the 2 gunners you put in?Originally posted by Jeff*wonders how bad the rest of Houston's special team players are and the effect they could have on punt returns*
I had Donnalley and Rinker as my gunners mid season last year, and towards the end I had to put Schofield and Rinker for some reason (injuries probably).
I tried to avoid starters for that position, but Donnalley and Rinker both have good ST skills.Steve Beans - Houston Renegades

well, i think (in my book) your overall ST rating depends on how many guys you got that are rated well for special teams. i would expect overall better ST numbers from a team that has a handful of guys rated 80+ in ST (like i do) as opposed to a team that only has, say, Kinder as their lone ST brightspot.

Not really. I just make sure to put some kind of emphasis on special teams, especially for backups.Originally posted by SteveBsFanIs there any real way to tell who's on your ST aside from the 2 gunners you put in?Originally posted by Jeff*wonders how bad the rest of Houston's special team players are and the effect they could have on punt returns*

I just wanted to make a point that there are more factors to punt returning."Larry Deasoooooooooooooooooon" -- Phil Jenkins

Hmm good point. I know i've seen Timmerman out there making tackles during returns, so it probably does have to do with more than just your gunnersSteve Beans - Houston Renegades

but at the same token, you would think having a 100 rating in PR would somehow offset an overall weak ST. i mean, 100 rating - essentially this guy is supposed to be one of the best, if not the best, punt returners in the league. i would think your opinion works the other way around - having an overall good ST team will get you otherwise good PR/KR numbers from guys who aren't rated exceptionally well in that category.Originally posted by JeffI just wanted to make a point that there are more factors to punt returning.

And I just want to say C Brian Gutierrez is a stubborn bitch. Usually guys will listen to cheap offers, especially when no one else if offering anything. This guy has just flat out rejected me twice now.My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.

speaking of the rich getting richer how many Good CBs does Cleveland need? lol
didn't so much mind getting beat out for that CB, but when I checked out Clevelands roster he will be like 5th on the depth chart and would have been a starter for the Mules. - Did that come off as whinney as I intended?sigpic

When you're in the same division as Iowa City, you have to have five good CB's to cover all those WR's they throw at you.Originally posted by Kobeckspeaking of the rich getting richer how many Good CBs does Cleveland need? lol
