make an offer, you never know. i'd need multiple 1st rounders in this year's draft plus some other goodies thrown in the bag. i plan on keeping the pick but i like to have all my bases covered.

every prudent GM explores every opportunity to improve his team. also, now that there's 4 or 5 bona fide studs my 1.1 pick is worth 2x more than what it was when it was HAR's pick. when the first draft file was created the 1.1 was as useless as a cockless guy in a whore house.

What you mean to say is, "if anyone wants the top pick in the draft, I will charge three times what's it actually worth now that I own the pick".

not really. again, i don't value 3rd round picks at all. for the caliber of players i would pick up in the 3rd round, i can get a fully developed veteran at the same price instead of having to give a guy a 3 year deal and half of that time he's developing. no thanks. he asked for RB Schultz and DE Alcott. i was thisclose to cutting Alcott since there just wasn't ever a chance he'd be starting on my team, and for him to reach his fullest potential he'd need to be starting. Schultz is a homegrown favorite but let's be honest i'm not gonna let an undrafted 45 overall RB get in the way of studs. i can pick up undrafted RBs whenever i want. this is business. so again, that's 2 players who i wouldn't let stand in the way of a deal. so now we're down to the 2 first round picks and the 4 second rounders. one of those picks is 1.17, the other is my first rounder in next year's draft. Suicane's first rounder in 2015 is going to be worth more than my 1st rounder, so i kept the more valuable pick and traded another first round pick that's likely to be 1.17/1.20. so i traded 2 low first round picks for the 1st overall in a draft where there's 2 bonafide franchise QBs. Jave wasn't gonna move his 1.2 so i decided to work around him, which i accomplished. if i can't work with you i'll work around you. and let's not forget i got a 4th year 69/70 overall rated LT back in the deal. i can either trade that LT or i can keep him.

no one is saying i'm trading the 1.1. i'm not. that having been said i wouldn't want that from stopping someone from making an offer. i wouldn't want someone to say "there's no way HA will trade the 1.1, i won't even bother making an offer even though he would've liked what i had to give". i want to hear the offers and i'll make the decision if it's worth it or not. i'm putting it out there, but the odds are good i'm keeping the pick. its not like the 1.2 which is definitely not available. i don't operate in a world of definites and guarantees.

You made this trade after the new draft class was out so the never-was-draft-class, like Suicane's 1st round pick you keep bringing up, has nothing to do with anything.

And before yesterday's interviews the Phantoms were looking to move up in the draft. Since yesterday we're content where we're at. I don't see this appreciating value with 1-1 that you're seeing. Looks to me like you made your bed and it's time to lay in it.

i don't value 3rd round picks at all.

Phantoms had 9 active 3rd rounders last season. More than any other round drafted. Murf had 10 3rd rounders on their roster.

Since yesterday we're content where we're at. I don't see this appreciating value with 1-1 that you're seeing. Looks to me like you made your bed and it's time to lay in it.

its of no concern of mine how content you are and whether or not you see the increased value in the 1st overall pick. your thoughts on something i own are irrelevant in the sense that you aren't a prospective trading partner. that's like someone who illegally downloads movies all the time writing the production company "i always download the movies that your company makes, and let me just say this last movie i saw really sucked". the movie company would reply "what does it matter what you think, you were never gonna pay for it anyway. we care what our paying customers think."
