I thought it was so that Admins would not have too keep track of picks outside the game.

As long as the picks are in the game I dont understand the issue.

Yes in game it opens up a new 3 year window. So this is bogus. The picks are part of the 3 year window and the trade ISNT blatantly lop sided it violates no rules. I dont even know why he is giving me shit over this.

It's not giving you shit, he's just making sure this was a legitimate 2nd trade, or you guys were circumventing the rules by waiting until after the draft to announce this.

I initially thought the same thing (about giving you shit), but reading from a neutral point of view, it appears this could have broken the rules. It has nothing to do with trying to alienate anyone.

I applaud Matt for catching it and making sure things follow the rules.

(as for my opinion on the matter, I don't believe you guys did it maliciously even if you did intend to get around the game restrictions. Honestly I didn't even know that was an actual rule)

I just find it absurd that other people can do whatever they want trade their whole team away if they want and that falls under the GMs can do what they want with their teams cause its their teams and then I get this bs?

I am stepping away from this conversation. There was no deal in principle. The trade doesnt violate any rules. It isnt lopsided or unfair. I just dont want to engage in any arguements. I will let this run its own course. I know the trade is by the rules seems no one here has a problem with it or thinks its a lopsided unfair deal. I expect this trade will eventually be processed.

                P.S.

Jesus is this because I said romney was going to win the election LOL. Damn I didnt say I would vote for the guy. Just said I think he is gonna win.

                  Very interesting.

It's Matt's job to watch out for the details. I for one am glad he is.

It's not as big of a deal as you're making it. You two had a massive trade where Tulsa traded away the rest of his picks. It's not unreasonable to question whether or not this was simply part of the deal because he ran out of picks before the draft.

By you getting extremely defensive it's just making it worse. Like I said, I believe there was nothing shady and I'm sure others do too but Matt is just covering his bases and there is nothing wrong with that.

Instead of throwing up your arms in a tantrum, you should have simply PM'd Matt to further question this and assured him it was a valid trade. Many GM's have regular trade partners they feel comfortable with, so it wouldn't have been a bad thing to simply explain that one of you hit the other up after the draft to work out more.

I've made deals with Iceman countless times which is why I know I can look over his roster and see if there is a player I want and he'd entertain the idea. Nothing shady about it, but if I suddenly traded him my shiny 2026 draft picks after just completing a massive deal, I'm sure Matt may raise his eyebrows at that.

Pandora's box was opened up a long time ago in this league. Kinda silly to start policing deals now.

I don't like the trade because I'm not comfortable with any team trading away every single future draft pick, then waiting until the picks flip over, then trading those picks as well.
Now, DG did it when he entered the league, and I was worried as hell however he did stick around to deal with the consequences, so props to him.

Tarcone did hint at leaving the league but I can't see him doing this to his team so I wouldn't block the trade, but I'm still uncomfortable with it.

On another note, Farrell is not worth a 1st and 2nd, which would lead me to believe this may be an agreement prior to this file. Which in effect, WOULD break the rules.

                            well there you go then.

I am always on the side of the admins, even when I am in the wrong, cause I truly appreciate what they do for the league.

I have no fear that either DG or Tarcone are going to leave, so trading of their draft picks doesn't concern me.

Supply and demand, WR's are the hottest commodity in this league. He is every bit worth it to be honest. The only position worth it in my opinion in the league for a 50 something rated player.
