I rarely see a year in which the team originally with the #1 pick wouldn't benefit more from trading down at least once, probably more. The occasional stud QB is probably the only time that I see otherwise. Well, that and Crespo.

in a deep draft i don't believe in trading for the top pick. put it this way, if there was only 1 must-have player in the draft, or even just 3 or 4 guys, with the rest being all crap - you wouldn't want to move your pick. the whole fact that you're open to moving down in the draft shows you that you can stand to drop further down in the round and still pick up someone very good. from my where i'm picking i can grab a sure starter, especially since i have more than a couple holes to fill. if i don't get this guy, i'll simple choose that guy.

If I remember the draft class correctly someone would have to be targetting the LT to move to 1.1. Isn't there 1 LT that's a good deal above the rest?
