Cleveland's Old Logo, before the chicken leg hit the helmet.

          And the new logo.

It's a subtle update to a classic Imperial League logo. Sometimes, it's as simple as that!

The Rivalry takes a deeper turn! Staying in one league. Too many times I've joined a lot and then life hands me too many turns. But yeah, when i saw Cleveland was open and you were Iowa City, it made Atlanta a bad option.

                  Personnel Moves

Cleveland fullback Eddie Lynn has been released. Flynn, a fifth round pick from Oregon in 2033, was in his second year in the Imperial League.

"I wish him well, but he's not my idea of a fullback at 24/28. " G.M. Owens.

His replacement is Will Cervantes, a four year Imperial League veteran. An undrafted free agent from Central Florida> Cervantes stands 6'2" and weights 258 lbs. , and was cut by the West Virginia Beasts earlier this season.

"Will has better Blocking Strength and better bars overall. And at 35/35 he is Well Liked by our fans."

Insiders say that G.M. Owens is still not completely satisfied with the fullback position, but the Clawz made a necessary upgrade.

Cleveland 2034 Draft Review....Better Late Than Never.

                    4.21. Jamie Williamson, Notre Dame
                    6-2, 229 lbs.

                    10 formations
                    26/49.

                    Sense Rush sucks. Cheap backup.

                    4.26. Calvin Gray, Ohio State
                    6-7, 328 lbs
                    Fan Favorite
                    28/49

                    BzQ3jN.jpg

Fan Favorite tag may help him stay, but his Static Bar in Blocking Strength is abysmal. Roster filler.

                    6.24. MLB DeAndre Garrison, Wyoming
                    6-1, 243 lbs.
                    Fan Favorite
                    20/31

                    BHqdEz.jpg

Garrison made it through preseason but was cut during week one.

6.26. WLB Leonard Asquith, Florida State
                    6-0, 227 lbs.
                    Need Scorecard
                    15/31

                    qTTKob.jpg

Uninspiring. Need Scorecard tallies up a cut soon.

                    7.25. RB.Brent Shepherd, Miami, Ohio
                    5-10, 213 lbs.
                    Well Liked
                    22/26

                    EQuHZ5.jpg

Yawn. Well Liked may help him stay on roster.

Ingame Grade for the draft was a B- and that's generous. Last draft without G.M. Hoosier. Luckily we have two first round picks and you can always work with those trade tools.

I really don't see a potential starter in any of these guys.

                          Week 5 Results

Cleveland, OH (AP): The Cleveland Clawz hosted AC rival Norfolk Vipers. Cleveland entered the matchup on a three game win streak at home with Norfolk the owners of their own home game win streak at two. The Clawz were three point favorites.

Cleveland won the toss and elected to receive. Within minutes Norfolk recovered a Joey Bahn fumble and returned it forty yards for a touchdown.

Later on in the first, newly signed field goal kicker Keegan Weyand answered for the Clawz with a 23 yard field goal in the rain to make it seven to three.

Newark answered with only a minute and half left in the quarter with a 32 yard field goal by the Viper's McKeon to build on their lead.

The second quarter lumbered on in the rain with neither team really gaining an advantage until the eight minute mark when the Clawz cornerback Guzowski interecepted QB Politopoulus at the Cleveland four yard line and returned it forty five yards. From there Cleveland QB took over and drove his team to a touchdown, hitting TE Breeden for a 15 yards in the end zone.

After the ensuing kickoff, Viper QB Politopoulos was sacked by Clawz DT's Wood and Bovee for a loss of ten yards. The ball was fumbled and recovered by Cleveland's defensive end Johannson and returned ten yards for another touchdown.

The back to back scores suddenly gave Cleveland a twenty four to ten lead into half time.

Scoring continued after half time when Clawz fg kicker kicked a 23 yard field goal to add to Cleveland's lead. Keegan would connect on another field goal from 47 yards out near the end of the third quarter to put Cleveland up thirty to ten.

Cleveland's defense interecepted another Viper pass shortly after the beginning of the fourth quarter.

The teams would trade punts for a while until the five minute mark when Norfolk's QB threw a pass intercepted by Cleveland safety Sullivan. Sullivan returned the interception 57 yards for a touchdown. After the extra point, the Clawz had built a 37-10 lead.

That was the end of the scoring, as Cleveland sealed the win.

G.M. Hoosier Owens said after the game..."The defense came to play and created turnovers. Our offense ground it out on the ground and our QB 1 didn't throw an interception. We got a good win over a good team."

                          Injuries:

SLB Roderick Daniels, Pulled Calf Muscle out four weeks.

"Stern test for us on the road. Both team's SOS are very similar so I think this game should be dead even. If we can get the run game going in the rain and dominate TOP, we should sneak out with a win."
