John Smiley has a slight wrist sprain and will need to be pushed back a day or two. We send Ballard down to AAA and call up SP Curt Lyons. Lyons will pitch after Van Egmonds turn, essentialy going with 6 starters to open the season, then Rijo will start in front of Smiley to give John the full 3 days of rest he needs.
