I'd probably be down for a league (like I was last May..), but first I need to be down with the game. I suppose I could just download the demo - shows how bitter I am about last version I guess. I'm too lazy to make a few clicks and wait for a few minutes.

me too. i hate demos, why can't the game just be free? sell it to those greasy Euros.

Just downloaded the demo and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed.. opted not to create my own league and started a quickstart instead (16-team fictional, 3 levels of minors+ rookie league)

Personally I don't care much about how super accurate all the minor stats are, and I have no need for "real players" (I prefer fictional even)..

I'll probably end up buying it sooner or later though.

ok.. this is just not good.. as in... I'll probably be spending €29 quite soon..

Toying around with the demo, I created a 16-team fictional league.. to learn a bit about the game, I figured out how to modify teamnames etc and ended up re-creating some of the IFL-franchises in this new universe.

I removed Single-A and instead decided to roll with two levels of minors and a rookie league.

I've created Vermont uniforms, but will be toying more with this stuff when I'm not so tired.. oh.. and for the record.. I haven't even simmed a day yet

The facegen addition gave me a fucking erection - seriously, it's cool as hell. It'll probably take me some time to form some real impressions, since it takes me half a century to create my leagues (I'm a fricking perfectionist!).

But.. yeah. Hook, line, and sinker. :lol:

Markus Heinsohn would have to come to my house and install the game on my computer for me to play it. Last year's version was an effing disaster and I think Markus is a flake.

Here's some work Icy did with facegen. By work, I mean he did the cap logos and jerseys. The faces are automatically created and you can change them or the beard/hair color with the click of a button. And maybe I was just seeing things but it seemed to me that hispanic players had their skin complexion made darker automatically, meaning the pictures are tied in with the names. Cool shit.

I stayted up until 3 a.m. last night fiddling around with the Vermont uniforms.. using my IFL logo and creating versions that fit better with OOTP. Then customizing the uniforms.. damn.. I could just be modding this game forever and not play a single game and still make worth of the price.

The demo only allows one season, so I wasn't able to sim several seasons of history, but at this point I'm still learning the ropes..

this game looks pretty cool.

A little more eye candy than FOF. FOF is the only text sim game I've ever played. I've not really been drawn into anything else. I'm more of a console game guy, I hate to admit it. It's probably because I sit in front of a cpu all day, and don't really want to do that in my spare time as well.

Effing work keeps on getting in my way of testing the game out. What's up with that?

I'm in the process of creating a 24-team league with 3 minor leagues. I just chopped off all the expansion teams from Seattle/Toronto and on. Then I'm going to add Seattle and Toronto after a certain amount of years of sim history and take one of them over and do the expansion draft. Hopefully I can find an Orestes Destrade.

Suicane, there's probably a lot you wouldn't like about this game, but you would love both the league customization (it's really amazing how much shit you can do and easily) and the facegen.

Was Orestes Destrade even picked in the expansion draft? Someone get on that stat!

Also, someone should figure out how many players the MLB lets teams protect before an expansion draft.
