I bought pure sim today. so far im liking its setup better than ootp. took me awhile to get used to the screens and im still somewhat learning it. Loved being able to draft a 35 man roganization, i like prospects but hate full minor leagues, i like having the option. I set the slider for HR from 50 to 37 but thats too low., after 40 games my hr leader has like 4, lol. I drafted good i thought, liked the draft etc. my initial power ranking was last in the league though, uh oh.
I lost 2 real good pitchers in the first week to arm injuries.
bugs me abou that game is that runners dont advance 2 bases enough and that alot of guys get thrown out tagging up. those are in game annoyances. dont know about stats yet, only after 40 games.
but i love the template feature, i hated always redoing shit in ootp, fuck that, ok byeI luv British womenz.

Apparently PC Gamer has given OOTP 2006 a 47 out of 100. Quite frankly, it's about time that someone didn't give the game the benefit of the doubt in a review. Operation Sports giving the game a 9 out of 10 is a joke.
Markus' initial reaction is gold. I didn't get an 8 or 9 or 85/100? What!?!?

i can't stand the tired spin doctoring that guys like Marc Duffy post. "i know it's broken but we've been working hard...". as if that's any consolation.
i wonder if guys who work for game companies get their feelings hurt when someone posts a negative comment about their product, or if they just don't care cuz the game will still sell. i know you have to keep a professional face on in public, but if i made a game and someone knocked it like it was Maximum Football or OOTP2K6 i'd kinda feel bad everytime someone said something bad about it.
of course, if i made a game i wouldn't charge that much money for it. Puresim got it right - even though i haven't ever purchased a Puresim game - lower cost=lower expectations. i wonder if Shaun Sullivan likes the fact that the only reason why people don't knock his game is cuz it only cost $20 and they were pleasantly surprised that it exceeded their expectations and is better than OOTP2K6 on some levels (ie, shocked that it didn't suck as much as they thought).

You have OOTP and I have Mogul, and I'm almost certain that i've gotten more enjoyment out of my game than you did yours. I WIN.Originally posted by JeffApparently PC Gamer has given OOTP 2006 a 47 out of 100. Quite frankly, it's about time that someone didn't give the game the benefit of the doubt in a review. That's not a fanboy...that's a developer. This has to be a bad joke!! What an idiot would score Mogul 81%, and then complain about missing features in OOTP 2006 that Mogul for example never heard of? God, how do such idiots get jobs nowadays??
Edit: Just saw that Brett Todd was the reviewer... this is weird. He always liked OOTP and seemed like a nice person in the past when I was in contact with him. Boy, what a disappointment.Los Angeles Matadors AC West Champs: 2037
