Yea, i'm definitely out of that league, but if a group of people here join a smaller / stable league, keep me posted. I'd rather it be after a patch or two anyway, the game needs a few tweaks.

I asked you to elaborate on this before in another thread (maybe you missed it). How did EHM feel like a soccer game, specifically? I always thought it was just a cop-out excuse for the guys who liked the original EHM better.

How much is this game? I'd probably join an IFL based league if it's a normal sized (32?) league and enough of us join.

I've never played a baseball sim but I'm sure SteveBsFan can bring me up to speed real quick.

            I am considering getting this.

I had planned on getting it all along but then a few things happened....

-I got PureSim and love it.
-Don't like some of the things I am hearing about the game.
            -Ran out of harddrive space.

But, I am looking through some of the compliants right now. I also admit that I am being heavily swayed by the desire for an Imperial Baseball League, or something like that.

Not sure what I will do.... :?

I think you should probably wait a patch or two, let the bugs get worked out, but an IBL would be great. I'm probably going to hold off on joining any MP leagues until that gets figured out though.

Oh hell, I won't even buy the game before a patch or two, I wouldn't get involved in a league until fall at least. Like Jeff said, there are several good reasons to wait a while.

Made up my mind to give Neon a skip, for now. and their server is refusing connections - I will persevere.

Just too huge. Maybe if I suddenly acquire 20 or so hours a week I might change my mind.

One good thing about a possible IBL would be can start with whowver wants to join and use expansion from there so the league would start and remain stable - good stuff

Good point, it would be cool to have a 10 team league then expand, although OOTP doesn't have any expansion draft, does it?

not sure, but in 6.5 the league structure was easily manipulated at the end of season. Would easily accomodate an expansion draft even if it was done "off-line" so to speak.

So we'd have to manually expand a team, and then have him pick his players from our unprotected list, and the FA pool, and whoever the commish is will just put it all in manually?

Not sure about 2006, but I know that could be done with 6.5

Nice, well hopefully in a few months we decide to get a league going I do agree with Cringer though, after the summer winds down.

It would be even cooler if we were required to have teams in the same city as our IFL teams, and similar divisional structures. This way when Suicane's ace goes down with a torn labrum, it will make our division easier

4 divisions per conference and no WCs I like that

and LOL about the torn labrum

Well probably expand to that point. If we had 16 teams, hopefully we can keep it similar, like most AFC teams stay in the AL, and NFC in the NL. Then just have two divisions each league.

Just a suggestion though, who knows what it will be if it gets set up. I do like that people in the league don't appear to require real major league players, teams, or even cities though. I think that's what I like about the IFL the most.

I'd love to see the Murfreesboro Mudhens or something even if it sounds like a minor league team.
