Well, we survived the 1-2 rushing punch of Nixon/Wilkins. Not sure how we won while giving up 196 yards on the ground, but McNeil played another very solid game again while our running game was stymied for the most part.
GG and GL Pirates the rest of the way.
Now we head to the nation's heartland for an early season showdown with the mighty Phantoms. I think we have a modest two-game winning streak against them but I would wager that ends on Sunday. It will be a good test though, we're gonna start blitzing Amos when we step off the bus!
Wasn't Portland supposed to be rebuilding this year? Me thinks Jave came back with something to prove.

Jave came back with a 99k stadium filled too the brim - lol
WOW! by the end of 1Q the Warthogs had scored 17 points off turnovers and led 20-3. And another TD off of a turnover made the halftime score 40-3. And even Fresno could not blow that lead
Schwartz wanted too know where that D was the last 8 years - lol

I was up 21-0. At no point did I think I was going to win.
(Especially when, up 21-7 with the ball in my own red zone and 2 minutes left in the half, I 'run out the clock' by throwing three straight PASSES, the 3rd for an INT.)
GG. The end was never in doubt...

GG Coder...
I feel awful...we seem to be as snakebit as the Firebirds. Had the chance to beat both the Phantoms and the Mountaineers and just couldn't do it.
1-4....We could be competing for the top spot. Defense played well. A very costly sack/fumble late in the game.MIAMI VICE - 2074

Good game! We were lucky Ouellette didn't suit up. We barely had enough to hang on and win. Farmer had a heck of a game for us, with a sack and 12 tackles including a couple run stops on third-and-short. All told, I think we had four of those to stop drives. Otherwise you were moving it up-and-down on us pretty well. We also hit on a couple big passing plays, but we were pretty inconsistent in that area. Hopefully getting Vaughn back next week will help with that.Originally posted by ukpatfan View PostOutlaws desperately need a win in Cleveland.
Rumour has it Ouellette will suit up.
Hope it's a good game Brando.

Turnover-O-Rama.. You sacked Donovan 4 times, that's not how we want to play..Originally posted by Argot View PostGG Coder...

Costly injury on Amos Morton for me.. out 8 weeks.. means had to dump a backup player to sign a TE.. annoying..

We lost by 2pts last week and 1pt against the Clawz.....guess we might get a tie against the Voodoo?Originally posted by Brando View PostGood game! We were lucky Ouellette didn't suit up. Didn't want to risk Ouellette and we nearly pulled out the win on the road.
But no cigar.
Lost our Center for a month now too.....sigh.
GG Brando, well done on the win.sigpic

Well I am 3-0 when I put in a gameplan. Kicking myself for missing this one. GG to you Vancouver.Originally posted by markc View PostWell, we survived the 1-2 rushing punch of Nixon/Wilkins. Wilkins is really slumping this year on his passing. Of course the legs are still dynamite. I need to revamp his passing tree. I am thinking the WRing core I have is part of the problem.
Newark I am putting in my gameplan for you. It will be a special one.
