Good news is the Voodoo didn't lose! Bad news is they didn't win!

GG CyYoung. I wish we could trade this win with last year's playoff loss. Debussy went down but it was still very close, PEN's defense is tough.
And we lost two key players heading into next week's big game against SLC. But I see Downing got roughed up so he's questionable.

Funny (and lucky for me) play...

Vancouver: I formation, strength is left. The defense is in a 34 and 3-deep zone coverage, expecting the run.
1-10-VAN34 (1Q: 06:09) Adam Prior ran inside the left guard for 31 yards. Tackled by OLB Richard Flowers. The ball was fumbled and recovered by VAN Bryan McNeil to the PEN35.

So, after the handoff, McNeil raced 31 yards down the field to recover the fumble. That embodies K-Whales spirit!

Oh and PEN's pickup of Cote looks like a genius move in light of the Debussy injury.

We will get back to playing defense the way we did the first two games. This gameplan will go in the trash. I knew he was gonna throw the ball and gameplanned to stop it so this is a little disappointing. Hats off to Carolina, you got a good young QB on your hands.

Offense blew ass! Losing our starting RB hurt early but I don't think that played much of a factor. We couldn't get anything going at all on offense. If you jump on us early like Carolina did its too hard for this offense to get going.

          Travel to Tulsa next week...

Thanks BOSS...secondary played better today...run defense was still suspect, but we were ahead enough not to worry too much with the clock winding down. Offensive line earned its money today...great run blocks for less than stellar backs and good protection.

...Lost Urlacher on the last play of the game with at 30-0 lead...out 5 weeks with a broken clavicle....what the heck was he doing?

GG tarcone. "Sugar" is definitely an every down threat. Today his receiving hurt more than the rushing though we were able to get the win thanks to 2 takeaway scores to end the 1st half and shift the game.

What's going on with r00k? He still having the forum problems? I thought someone posted a solution to that.

Yep, 10 points off a pick and a fumble with under 2 minutes left in the 1st half. Game over.

NC South is going to be brutal this season.

GG SLC. We played pretty well. I am very worried about the penalties, however. 11 in week 1, 7 in week 2 and 10 in this game. That's some stalled drives for sure because of penalties. Nothing I can do about that except maybe sign a new coach, but we don't have the finances for a good one.

NC South will be a dog fight this year. TExas and Tulsa thankfully lose.

Damn Kickers... should have set it to go for it on every 4th down inside FG range...

We didn't get an export in, and lose a winnable game. That's 2 weeks in a row...we need to get back on track and fast.

                    GG Matt.

ggo Gill...we stunk it up. I guess we were lucky to tie it up on a 54 fg...lol

I'd figured our defense would be improved if not better from the top 10 defense we had last year. We have been just plain awful on defense. 29th in run yardage allowed and 28th in pass defense pretty much sums up our play so far. The offense hasn't been too hot either. Luckily, I think I have a couple of more tricks up my sleeve, but if that doesn't work then I'm at lost to do with this D. Hahaha

I think I screwed up mightily by getting rid of my head-coach. Thats the only other thing it can be. Oh well at-least we have a bye so we can mull it over for a couple of weeks...lol.
