TB's PLAYOFF RACE COVERAGE: Week 15 recap
It sure was a interesting day of football last Thursday and as a result the landscape has really changed with the injuries that occurred. This is a short week, so for Sunday’s games, we will only put a blurb about each team. The rest of you guys will have to supply the “trash talk” and related filler for the games on Sunday.

Wichita – Currently leads the division but has lost four in a row. If the Outlaws manage to stumble and lose against Iowa City on Sunday … well, count them as a gone pecan.
Cleveland – The Clawz are the hottest team in football right now with six straight wins and doing it with defense.
Montreal – One game behind Wichita and Cleveland, which is the team that they face on Sunday. This is a must win for the Firebirds. They are at home but that does not seem to be an advantage as they are three and three when playing before the hometown fans.
Iowa City The Snipe Hunters are playing for pride and upset Lansing last week. Can they do it again against Wichita?

Murfreesboro the Mules have lost three weeks in a row. This was a team that we thought was a lock on the post season. Right now, we are not too sure. We see the possibility of them losing to rival Houston, Oakland (on a three game win streak) and the defense of St. Louis.
St. Louis The Cardinals are two games behind the Mules so good things happen to people who help themselves. A must win against division dwellers Louisiana.
Houston The Renegades are also only two games back and have won their last two. They also have a must win against the Mules. One of the premiere games of the week!
Louisiana "The end is surely near," Wolf Jr.

West Virginia The Beasts lost QB Deron Markel for four weeks. They already have their playoff ticket punched with a first round bye. Markel should return for their first playoff game … but there is new discussion on whether this will alter the chemistry on a team that seemed invincible and will the backup QB Peter Van Verth be able to take them to an undefeated regular season?? … something that has never occurred in IFL history.
Norfolk The Vipers need to win against Chicago and keep in step with the other two 8-5 teams (Cleveland and Los Angeles) and hope that one of them loses. They are on the outside looking in for a wild card slot at the moment.
Hartford The Whales are nipping at Norfolk’s heels, just a game back, and are hoping for the turn of events in West Virginia to continue to put on the heat and stay in the hunt.
Chicago The Crusaders just want the season to come to an end.

Portland The Seals not only lost to Newark last week, they endured injuries and are making claim to being named the “MASH UNIT”. This is what has happened in the last few weeks: WR Claussen (out 4 weeks), TE Alcott (out 6 weeks), T Erbaugh (out 3 weeks), DE Augustinon (season ending injury). QB Karl Bauer still has one week to go before he is injury free.
Los Angeles. The Matadors are two games behind the Seals and can make up one of those games this weekend. They couldn’t be ask for a better time to meet them with the injury situation and the fact that they will host them at home.
Anchorage It has not been a stellar season for the Lynx. They meet Fresno on Sunday and will play for division dweller.
Fresno Ditto on above commentary for Anchorage.

Pennsylvania In a slugfest for a first round bye. Madison should not present a problem on Sunday.
Lansing The Orgres cannot duplicate their poor effort of last week against Iowa City against a similar team in Dakota. The team needs to take charge when it is expected.
A win will be a huge step to lock up a wild card berth.
Madison On a three game losing streak and seeing this to increase to four against the Lions.
Dakota On a two game winning streak and looking to upset the Demons.

Georgia got trounced by Norfolk but still remains on top of the division. A division showdown against Tulsa who played well against West Virginia last week.
Little Rock The Toads are tied with Georgia and face 0-13 Texas. If Tulsa upends the Generals, the Toads will "leapfrog" all and become the new division leader with two games to be played.
Tulsa Is there anything left in the tank?
Texas This team is 0-13. What can we say? If they cannot find a win by the end of the season, they will establish a new low for the IFL record books.

Lawrence remains one game up on Newark and will travel to the House of the Bulldog and still without the services of RB Humphries. Gentlemen, this is THE GAME of the WEEK.
Newark Injury free …
Orlando The Pirates are lurking in the shadows, hoping for a team or two to stumble so that they can dock their ship into the playoff schedule.
Vermont A disappointing season might bring a smile if they can put an end to division rival Orlando’s playoff dreaming.

Vancouver Looking for a first round bye but first they must get past the surging Assasins.
Salt Lake City The Stallions, like Orlando, have become lurkers. They face lowly Reno this Sunday in their continued quest to be a viable player.
Oakland The Assassins are still mathematically alive and have a three game winning streak. Anything is possible.
Reno Argot’s reaction, “Has the draft started yet?”
