      Odd game in Fresno.
Wichita jump out to a nice 28 - 7 lead, then watch Fresno roll up their sleeves and bust a gut to get back into it.
However, the Warthogs can only manage 4 short FG's in a row and the Outlaws end up weathering the storm.
      GG Kobeck

Our run D was outstanding whilst Dogs wins the player of week award.
Graham and Diedrich chose a nice game to get hot in too.

        GG Beeznik!

Injuries continue mounting for the 2021 Phantoms. "Propane" was re-injured with 1:17 to go with a double digit lead. OLB Kemp out for 5 weeks.

Lost a game we probably should have won. Lost 2 fumbles on punt returns (the first one led to a Vermont TD drive on a short field), Missed a 40 yd FG and twice came away with nothing inside the Mountaineers 5. Just didn't make plays today.

Good game, Coder. A lil bit ugly and that's coming from a team that's trying to win ugly but good game.

              Beans ...

Here is the story line for the game.

              Norfolk - no turnovers.

Houston: well, here's the list ...

2-10-HOU26 (1Q: 14:26) Orlando Surratt pass completed to WR Kelly Hoffman for 33 yards. Tackled by CB Bryant Stevenson. Hoffman gained 20 yards after the catch. The ball was fumbled and recovered by NFK Bryant Stevenson on the NFK41.

3-11-NFK20 (2Q: 05:32) Beach Surratt pass was intended for WR Tim Deforne and was intercepted by CB Chad Donovan at the NFK02. The interception was returned 42 yards. Tackled by Beach Surratt. The quarterback threw away from the double coverage.

3Q: 07:18) Ian Hitchcock kicked off 69 yards from the NFK30. Andre Rosow returned the ball 9 yards to the HOU10. Tackled by Cory Yates. Ball was fumbled and recovered by NFK Arnie Hagood for 7 yards to the HOU03. Tackled by Bernie Rios.

1-10-HOU40 (3Q: 04:01) Orlando Surratt pass was intended for WR Reggie Denning and was intercepted by S Cory Yates at the NFK33. The interception was returned 67 yards for a TOUCHDOWN! Norfolk 29, Houston 14

1-10-NFK16 (4Q: 03:57) Orlando Surratt pass completed to TE Thurman Levine for 3 yards. Tackled by S Winston Nissly. The quarterback threw away from the double coverage. The ball was fumbled and recovered by NFK Cory Yates on the NFK13.

There were lots of gifts and Christmans is still 10 months away. Better luck in future games.

Sanford has turned it around. Whew. We still struggle in the red zone.

188 yards allowed today. Great defensive performance. Adn we tossed a shut out.

Singleton continues to shine. 19 carries for 85 yards and a TD.

Sweet, third straight week of scoring exactly 17 points. As far as the turnovers, meh whatever. Surratt sucks and I wasn't expecting any different. I'm a little shocked about the fumbles, but not much really shocks me this season.

My team is essentially on auto pilot right now so I don't expect much different the rest of the season. I spent about 5 minutes on my gameplan this week, and it'll probably be less next week.

Demoralized with this game? Yup. It's very hard to keep playing a game you're not good at.

GG West Virginia... felt like a wild one.

                        4th Quarter went crazy
5:50 Beasts 43 yard FG to make it 24-15
5:24 76 yard TD pass by the Mules to make it 24-22
4:38 40 yard TD pass by the Beats to make it 31-22

Felt there were a couple of big plays where a holding call negated a TD and the drive ended in a FG.
The other one I don't get as we failed on a two point conversion in the 3rd quarter so the score was 14-12 to West Virginia.. it was too early for that and it meant that when we scored in the 4th quarter right at the death that a 2 point attempt wouldn't have made a difference and taken the game to OT so this was costly...

Gutted to lose a game where we gained 521 yards, but you expect to lose when you are down in the turnover battle (2-3) which we were. Need to get back on track now.

Ugh... 4 turnovers and yet we're still up by 10 going into the 4th and have a total collapse. Suddenly nobody can tackle and LA scores in just a few plays each of their last possessions. 525 yards of offense means fuck all if you do everything you can to give the game away.

                          GG LA.

                              A RARE SIGHTING ... indeed!

The Cardinals are in play for the wildcard and would have it if season ended this week ... congrats Sui ... good to see the team doing well this year ... and I am sure Matt will give all the credit to Caro.

As much as I give him shit, I'm rooting for Suicane to make the playoffs. It would be good to see a team challenge the mold of an offensive based team in FOF. I know there are teams giving up fewer points, but to look at his offense and see 4 wins, it's pretty shocking and impressive.
