I also didn't say you were cheating, just exploiting the game mechanics, which is nothing more than I was doing with this situation. We all know rookies sometimes take completely random booms during training camp, so having some on your roster during this period is never a bad thing.
We also know contracts are very exploitable, and still are despite the rules in place. Like I said earlier, you and I both know you're not going to pay him $31m next year. That huge non-guaranteed part of the contract was there to a) scare away potential bidders and b) increase the chances of signing him.
I personally don't care that you did it, it doesn't bug me in the least. It's your cap room and your fake money. Spend $100m a season on someone, I don't care. My issue was you coming in and talking to me like you're the model owner because I was filling up my roster trying to use the arbitrary rookie training camp boom to my advantage.
It's like Rex Ryan trying to preach to Bill Belichick about morals and ethics, when both guys will use any competitive advantage they can to better their team. Although that sounds like I'm comparing you to one of those two coaches, and you may take that as a compliment, so don't.
