Are we ever going to institute a stage one "hands off" rule for staff hiring for the guys we want to keep? We talk about it every year. Even the NFL has the opportunity to offer a contract before their allowed to be interviewed by other teams. Here it's just a free for all.

Nope, but a couple seasons ago I had my best coach stolen. I hired him when he was a nothing...a bunch of averages and a couple very goods. He was about 32 and after 7 years or so was one of the best in the entire IFL. It happens, coaches go where the $ is, but we should at least have first "dibs". Make an offer, and if after stage one he hasn't signed, then let everyone else submit offers. This is realistic and it happens in the NFL. Hell the Raiders were denied interviews by several teams to even interview defensive coaches so I think this should be a standing rule in the IFL. Maybe we can at least have a poll on the idea.
