I have a great doubleheader tonight. It starts off with a huge matchup in the NC South. We travel to Texas to defend our 5 time division championship streak.
Then after that, my Liberty Jackalopes take on Bako in the DFL. We sit 5-6 after starting the season 0-5. We are living on the edge to make the playoffs. Bako comes in 10-1 and are the defending champs.

This is going to be a great night. Is it 7 cst yet?

Man, things go scary for me when I started seeing 'the defense is familiar with that play' in the 3rd quarter up by 7, but I guess it fits with 79 offensive plays. I don't like how suddenly my players forgot to catch when that happened, but oh well.

We got lucky, 3 fumbles and recovered them all, and couldn't cloe the door until we were on our own 18 late in the 4th.

A win is a win, I'll take it, so good game Suicane and see you again in a few weeks!

nooooo, did not have my export in time and it cost me. I had my starters in but my playing time set to lowest in everything and didn't gameplan for Norfolk's receivers. SHIT! Just forgot all about it until 8 p.m. tonight. My fault. Dumb ass GM that I am. Was looking forward to this game all week too. Good game Norfolk. My fucking fault. Just didn't have time to get my shit together on this one even with a week to get ready.

But anyway, we lose because we go for a long 50+ yard field goal with less than 2 minutes to go when we are winning???? Just punt the f'n ball. make them go 80 yards, not 55 yards. Was probably difference in the game regardless of my GM suckiness. Usually don't get pissed off about this game when it comes to any of its crazy AI crap it does in games because it all averages out in the end, but this, combined with me missing the export just pisses me off.

also, my secondary starters, which was torched in the second half, weren't even in the game, I don't think. They are showing to be in the game only 50 to 60 percent of the 44 pass plays Norfolk ran. Kevin Stanton, my rookie corner who I wouldn't have let see the light of day against the Vipers pass attack was just torched late in the game on Norfolks final drive. He was in the game for 38 pass plays.

Sorry r00k. Don't mean to ruin it for you. Just pissed off about it. Done with venting for the year. Time to shut the f up and try to rebound.

signing one of my players back messed up my gameplan and forgot to reset it...ugh...still...this game was closer than it should have been. GG Jave...I'll see you later in the season back in our house...and....

I thought I had you snakebit when you fumbled inside your 15 yard line with under 3 minutes to go.

So very frustrating. Houston apparently doesn't have a wide arsenal of plays as I started getting the "extremely familiar" pop up halfway through the 3rd quarter and shut them down from that point on. Problem is I was constantly backed up and could do nothing on offense.

What else we got? Well let's see, 3 fumbles forced, none of which we recovered. One was deep in their territory which would of been points for us. Another one was deep in our territory which would of taken 3 off the board for them.

All that being said, in the first half when the game was equal they totally outplayed me and put together drives of like 99 and 80 for TD's, so the right team won.

Good game Steve, looking forward to the rematch.

Wade Boyd actually showed up with an 87 yard INT (2 yards shy of the score though) and we outscore a potent Mountaineer offense to jump off to a 1-0 start. Good game, coder!
